U wordt gasten prioriteit klimmen naar de top Borobudur tempel. Ter informatie Het aantal bezoekers dat de Borobudur tempel mag beklimmen beperken tot 1.200 per dag Borobudur, het 4e grootste eiland van Indonesië, is de grootste boeddhistische tempel ter wereld, gebouwd in de 9e eeuw, en is de meest bezochte toeristische attractie in Indonesië. Toen de bevolking zich in de 14e eeuw tot de islam bekeerde, werd Borobudur verlaten. Tegenwoordig is de tempel beschermd door UNESCO met voortdurende restauratie en onderhoud om de tempel er op zijn best uit te laten zien. Genieten van de serene en spirituele sfeer die lijkt te zijn geïnfiltreerd elke rots via. Als je uitkijkt op de heuvels en bossen om je heen, is het niet moeilijk om je voor te stellen hoe ontdekkingsreizigers zich moeten hebben gevoeld toen ze in 1814 uit het bos strompelden om zo'n zicht te vinden dat bijna 500 jaar voor de wereld verloren was.
Besteed 30 minuten aan het verkennen van de Mendut-tempel van het klooster.
Breng 2 uur door met het verkennen van Prambanan. Prambanan is de grootste hindoetempel van Indonesië en tevens een van de mooiste tempels in Zuidoost-Azië. Volgens de inscriptie van de Siwargha-plaquette werd de tempel gebouwd tijdens het bewind van Rakai Pikatan (midden negende eeuw) van het oude Mataram-koninkrijk.. Bekijk de drie tempels versierd met reliëfs die het epos van de Ramayana illustreren, gewijd aan de drie grote hindoegodheden (Shiva, Vishnu en Brahma) en drie tempels gewijd aan de dieren die hen dienen. Nadat je Prambanan hebt verkend, ga je terug naar je hotel, waar je de mogelijkheid hebt om te stoppen voor de lunch op de terugreis.

Wonderful tour though the temples. Our guide Seta was just perfect. He speaks very well English and was able to grant us every wish. From the typical Luwak coffee, to a perfect restaurant for lunch, he suggested us the best places. We also followed his suggestion to wait for the sunset at the temples, this was just beautiful. Overall we were more than happy with Seta and the experience, I can only recommend 😀 Bravo!

The Borobudur temple is very beautiful. A special thank you to my driver/guide Fery. I have never had a driver/guide who is so informed and dedicated. He was able to tell me a lot about the culture and different religions. On the way back, he made a short stop at the Buddhist Monastery, which was on the way. I learned more about Buddhism than during the tour at Borobudur, even though Fery is Muslim. I can highly recommend the tour (especially with Fery).
