Je wordt de prioriteit van de gasten om naar de bovenste Borobudur-tempel te klimmen Deze beroemde boeddhistische tempel, daterend uit de 8e en 9e eeuw, bevindt zich in Midden-Java. Het werd gebouwd in drie lagen: een piramidale basis met vijf concentrische vierkante terrassen, de stam van een kegel met drie ronde platforms en bovenaan een monumentale stupa. De muren en balustrades zijn versierd met fijne bas-reliëfs, met een totale oppervlakte van 2.500 m2. Rondom de ronde platforms staan 72 opengewerkte stoepa's, elk met een standbeeld van de Boeddha. Het monument is in de jaren 70 gerestaureerd met hulp van UNESCO. Het benadrukken van de stenen reliëfs en de vele gezichten van Boeddha.
Vervolg je tour met een bezoek aan de mooiste hindoetempel Prambanan. Gebouwd in de tiende eeuw, dit is het grootste tempelcomplex gewijd aan Shiva in Indonesië. Bekijk de drie tempels versierd met reliëfs ter illustratie van het epos van de Ramayana, gewijd aan de drie grote hindoegodiniteiten (Shiva, Vishnu en Brahma) en drie tempels gewijd aan de dieren die hen dienen.
Ramayana Ballet, we proberen alle opluchting in de Prambanan-tempel te visualiseren dansvoorstelling Het verhaal begint In Dandaka Forest ontvoerde Rahwana (reus) Shinta en werd naar Alengka gebracht. Om Shinta terug te nemen, werd Rama geaccepteerd door Hanoman en de apentroepen bouwden een brug naar het koninkrijk Alengka om Shinta te bevrijden. Er was een grote strijd tussen de koninkrijken van Alengka en Ayodya. Aapkrachten vechten tegen de reuzen die het koninkrijk Alengka verdedigen. Ayodya in de wedstrijd om Shinta te krijgen. What an absolutely phenomenal day from start to finish! Our private guide, Bima, simply could not have been better. Friendly, professional and incredibly knowledgeable, he brought the history of Yogyakarta and Indonesia to life throughout the journey and was fantastic while guiding us around both Borobudur and Prambanan temples. Bima’s hospitality was exceptional, with great advice throughout the day and even a stop at a luwak coffee plantation, which was a fascinating once-in-a-lifetime experience. Nothing ever felt rushed and the whole tour felt completely personal. We finished the evening with the Ramayana Ballet at Prambanan before Bima dropped us safely back at our hotel after a very long day. A truly memorable experience and one of the highlights of our time in Indonesia. If you can request Bima as your guide, do it – he was outstanding!

We had a fantastic day visiting Borobudur, Prambanan, and the Ramayana Ballet, and Dani made the entire experience incredibly smooth and enjoyable. He arrived early, was always ready to pick us up as soon as we finished each activity, and made navigating what can sometimes feel quite busy and chaotic completely effortless. He always explained exactly where we needed to go and took care of all the logistics. Dani was also incredibly knowledgeable. On the drives between places and on the locations, he shared so much about Indonesian history and culture, particularly the Hindu and Buddhist temples, and was able to answer every question we had (and tell us plenty we wouldn’t have known to ask!). Since we had some extra time, he even took us to another temple, as well as a great place for lunch, dinner, and a stop to try the local Luwak coffee. Dani was polite, thoughtful, knowledgeable, and genuinely went above and beyond throughout the entire day. We couldn’t have asked for a better driver and guide. Highly recommend!

Everything was perfect from start to finish. Very beautiful day, the visit to the 2 temples is done very well in one day. The evening show closes this beautiful day with a view of the Prambanan temple in the background. Awesome. This tour was exceptional and the guide (Bima) was phenomenal. Not only were the main sights (Borobudur and Prambanan) very impressive, the information that Bima shared really enriched the experience, and he was very pleasant to share a day with. His driving was very good, and after adding an interesting church visit in between the two main sites, he took us to a local bakery to sample amazing treats (and he made sure that our allergies were accommodated). The sunset at one of the temples near Prambanan, followed by a nice dinner and entertaining ballet, were the icing on the cake. We cannot recommend this tour highly enough, for the incredible sites but also thanks to the expertise and care of the guide!

The Prambanan Ramayana Ballet was an exceptionally holistic and unforgettable experience. Our guide Dani is really amazing. He is very warm and friendly and he is very knowledgeable in the history of different religions in this region.
