De Galleria Borghese is een van de beroemdste en meest bezochte musea in Rome met 20 kamers en honderden kunstwerken verdeeld over twee verdiepingen. Deze diepgaande privétour van 2 uur geeft je de kans om meesterwerken te ontdekken die zijn gerealiseerd door Caravaggio, Bernini en Raphael. Je Tour begint op de begane grond, waar je voor het eerst een van Bernini's beroemde meesterwerken "Rape of Proserpina" ontdekt, in opdracht van kardinaal Scipione, en wordt de eerste van een reeks kunstwerken die de galerij vult. Hier vindt u nog veel meer fantastische beelden zoals "Paolina Borghese van Canova", "Apollo en Daphne" en "David" van Bernini. Op de eerste verdieping merk je al snel dat dit vooral gewijd is aan schilderijen. U zult alles over Raphael leren kennen door de afzetting van Christus en het 'portret van een man' te ontdekken en u zult Caravaggio's "David met het hoofd van Goliath", "Jonger met fruitmand" en "Jonge zieke" zeker niet missen. This tour was an in depth education on the contents and history of this special gallery and its place in Roman history. Not to be missed. The sculpture was incredible, and our guide was extraordinarily knowledgeable about the art housed here. One of the best tours I have taken…of many Viator tours.
We did the Borghese Gallery Spanish tour with Susana and it was a real wonder. He gave us a lot of information of enormous interest and in a very clear and enjoyable way. You can tell that Susana has enormous knowledge and transmits it great, in a pleasant way and that makes you want to listen to her. Of course, one of the best tours we have done in Rome and we found it 100% recommended.

The stories were fascinating, the tour leader was gentle and spoke clearly. It felt a bit too rush, but there were just too many things to talk about and two hours duration just wasn't enough to cover everything.

The tour operator Veronica was especially nice and helpful. I had made an error with my telephone and she spent 15 minutes to make sure that our visit to the Gallery was not cancelled. The Gallery itself is exceptional.
