Ontdek de wonderen van de natuur op de Ria Formosa en sta versteld en verblind door dit kwetsbare en complexe ecosysteem dat wordt beschouwd als een van de zeven wonderen van Portugal, een plek om te bezoeken en te behouden. Tijdens deze tour heb je de gelegenheid om het natuurpark van de Ria Formosa te observeren dat door zijn kanalen navigeert. Je wandelt over wit zand en vaart door het kalme water van de Ria Formosa. We zullen een mooie stop maken op een onbewoond eiland waar je kunt zwemmen, ontspannen en wandelen over het strand met prachtig wit zand. Daarna stoppen we bij een van de eilandgemeenschappen. Kan Ilha do Farol of Ilha da Culatra zijn. Tijdens de tour zal de schipper een gedetailleerde uitleg geven over de hele Ria Formosa, zijn fauna en flora en zijn visserijactiviteiten.

We had a great boat trip today to desert island for a swim and then farol. The boat was high quality and easy to use. Daniel is an excellent guide who knows the Ria Formosa like the back of his hand. His local knowledge of the people, history and nature of the islands and lagoons was fantastic. A great day out and we feel a greater connection with the islands now. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful Views and very informative, Daniel was a very nice person with lots of interesting local knowledge, Nothing was too much trouble. The island was beautiful and we would recommend going inland a bit to taste the local fresh fish rather than the tourist traps as you step off the boat offering burgers and chips!

We had the best time! Daniel was so knowledgeable and went above and beyond when he found out we were interested in marine wildlife. He was just amazing. If you are considering a tour to the islands, we would say this one was a must. We give it 11/10⭐️

We had an incredible experience. Daniel was our guide and boat captain. He gave just enough details as we went along making the experience rich and navigated our children's level of understanding and attention span perfectly. He found special wildlife to show our children and even let them "drive" the boat. The villages on the barrier islands were quaint and even in, and perhaps because of, the off season they had unique charm. This tour was the highlight of our trip to the Algarve!

Our guide was super nice and told exciting things about the region. But beware, we were on the island for over 2 hours and did not look at any birds. So if you want to see something of the Ria Formosa, you should choose another tour
Thank you for your review and evaluation. I understand the désappointement of not seeing any bird on the island, but I can explain. The birds are not on the islands the birds are on the Ria Formosa secondary channels and are eating on the margins of the shellfish farms when the tide is low. For a bird watching tour we have to have two important details. Low tide and no wind. This 3 hour tour was not a bird watching tour. I advice everyone if you want a bird watching tour contact us to get the details and book you on a specific tour. I'm glad you liked the tour and that this subject about birds was mentioned. I have some mobility issues, so I was a bit unsure whether I’d manage to get on and off the boat — but it couldn’t have been easier. The Sabino boat was very accessible, and Daniel, our guide, was absolutely fantastic. He was so kind and helpful, and his knowledge of the local wildlife and islands really made the trip special.

A brilliant way to spend an afternoon. Daniel, our guide, took us on the 3 hour tour leaving at 3.30pm and we visited a deserted beach on one of the barrier islands and the fishing village of Culatra. Daniel was excellent, very welcoming and informative, explaining lots of interesting facts about Olhao, the people and the environment. Would thoroughly recommend doing this trip.
