Bij aankomst heeft u ongeveer 3 uur vrije tijd om het eiland in uw eigen tempo te ontdekken: ✦ Architectonische bezienswaardigheden : Loop langs de waterkant om de Symi Clock Tower en de "vrede" beelden van de sponsduikers te zien. ✦ Lokale cultuur: Bezoek de beroemde sponsworkshops om meer te weten te komen over Symi's diepzeeduikgeschiedenis en koop authentieke zeesponzen. ✦ Gastronomie : We raden u ten zeerste aan de beroemde "Symi Garnalen" (Simiako Garidaki) te proberen in een taverna aan zee. Deze kleine, knapperige garnalen zijn een lokale delicatesse die in zijn geheel wordt gegeten. ✦ De Bovenstad (Chorio) : Als je je actief voelt, beklim dan de Kali Strata (500 stenen treden) om het bovenste dorp te bereiken voor het beste panoramische uitzicht in de Dodekanesos.
Op weg naar Symi bezoeken we de legendarische St. George’s Bay. Wij bieden pick-ups van alle hotels in Rhodos eiland. Transferservice is beschikbaar tegen een kleine extra toeslag, die afhankelijk is van hoe ver uw hotel zich bevindt (zichtbaar tijdens het afrekenen). Het omvat beide manieren : pick-up van uw hotel, en na de reis drop off terug. Selecteer tijdens het boeken een optie die het gebied dekt waar uw hotel zich bevindt. We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Half Price Tours in Rhodes, and our day trip to Symi was one of the highlights of our holiday. From the very first contact, the customer service was exceptional and genuinely personal. A special mention has to go to Mr George Papadopoulos, who contacted us via WhatsApp before the trip to check whether we would need a transfer. This was such a thoughtful touch and showed how much attention the team pays to their customers. George also went above and beyond by helping me find somewhere to park my car near the very busy Rhodes harbour. It was a huge help and took away a lot of the stress on the morning of our trip. That kind of personal assistance really makes a difference. The experience continued to be excellent once we were on board the Zeus. The whole crew were friendly, professional and welcoming, and they did everything they could to make the journey comfortable and enjoyable for everyone. A special thank you to Ali on the deck and Fotini at the bar, who both went above and beyond throughout the trip. They were incredibly attentive, reassuring and approachable, making sure passengers felt safe, comfortable and well looked after both on the way to Symi and on the return journey. The trip itself was beautiful, and Symi is absolutely stunning. The scenery, the sea, the atmosphere and the time spent on the island made for a truly memorable day. What made it even better was knowing that we were in such good hands throughout the journey. We are now heading back to Ireland with fantastic memories of Rhodes and, especially, our wonderful day in Symi. Experiences like this are what make a holiday truly special. It wasn’t just a boat trip or an excursion — it was the care, friendliness and professionalism of the people that made the whole experience so enjoyable. We had a great time today on our trip booked via half price tours. Actually used chat gpt to find the best value trip for both Symi and St George’s bay. Had a text the night before saying boat was leaving early due to crowds and heat. So good communication. The day itself went really smooth. That boat did the job. Friendly staff. Nice stop at St George’s bay. Then into Symi which was beautiful. No delays all on time. So yes would recommend using half price tours

Great experience for the price. The boat ride was quite long but this was mentioned in the schedule, the boat always left on time (so don’t be late or you’ll miss the boat!)
The boat trip was excellent experience- everything was very well organised, we went there with our own transport and as it was on Sunday, we were able to park our car for free just by the boat. Timing from the company was perfect too. Only thing we would recommend- swimming stop would be better after Symi island visit. Otherwise everything was perfect!
Hi, the boat trip was amazing. It was a great advise to be early to get good seats on the upper deck. The Captain and Staff were amazing and the tour itself offered plenty of opportunity to relax and enjoy the view. Ich would advise future participants to bring a light sweater for the way towards Symi it was a bit chilly. The Bay was amazing and I really liked that the boat offered a freshwater shower to rinse off the salt. Symi was simply stunning and we had more than enough time to explore and eat. With a speedboat to the island of Simi with a half hour break for swimming on the way back. On the boat it was lovely, on Simi it was very hot so walking around there for 3 hours is a bit long. But if you walk through the small streets where there is shade, or grab a terrace in the shade, you can hold on well. And a short swim on the way back was a welcome cool-off.
I booked at Half Price Tours through TripAdvisor. I was looking forward for the trip, but it didn’t live up to my expectations. The boat was sailing very slowly, so we only had 40 min of swimming in St. George’s Bay even though the tour description said 60 min. When we fina arrived at Symi we only had around 2 hours and 45 min before boat departure, which meant that we spent more time being on the boat than exploring Symi. The boat was quite crowded and hot with few seating options, which meant that you could easily get seasick. I would definitely recommend to book the speedboat option if you are interested to visit Symi.
Fantastic experience. Absolute everything was perfect. Boat modern, clean and spacious. Snacks and drinks for everyone at the bar. Well worth the experience.
