Bij mij krijg je een 6e generatie Savannahiaanse en academisch geschoolde historicus met meer dan 30 jaar ervaring in de Savannah-horeca die de inside scoop heeft en die graag de verhalen deelt. Dit alles en ook zuidelijke gastvrijheid! Van deur tot deur service vanuit het centrum of ontmoet me op de begraafplaats als je liever zelf rijdt. Gratis mineraalwater en al het andere dat u nodig heeft voor een wandeling door de eiken.

Rondleiding op de begraafplaats, meestal door een wandeling, maar we rijden door de rest onderweg en heen. Het is meer dan 100 hectare, maar we concentreren onze wandeltocht op het historische gedeelte. Alles voor ongeveer de prijs van wat de andere tours aanrekenen "om je daar te ontmoeten.

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
Ik haal ongeveer 20 minuten voor de tourtijd op bij alle hotels, B & B's, pensions en de vele trolleyhaltes in het centrum van Savannah. Ik bel een uur eerder om een exacte ophaaltijd door te geven. Ophalen moet plaatsvinden in de binnenstad (historische wijk en Victoriaanse wijk) bij een laadzone of legale trolleystop. Als u het niet zeker weet, voert u het adres in van waar u verblijft en ik laat u weten waar u het beste kunt worden opgehaald. Zolang je in of dichtbij mijn ophaalradius in het centrum bent, kan ik je waarschijnlijk ophalen bij je VRBO of INN. Ik kan South of Victory Drive NIET ophalen. Het is gewoon te ver weg om in 20 minuten op te halen. Je zou de groep moeten ontmoeten op Bonaventure Cemetery. Ook kunt u DE TOUR ONTMOETEN op de begraafplaats. Laat me alsjeblieft weten wat je wilt doen nadat je je tour hebt geboekt, zodat ik afspraken kan maken.

Tim is a fantastic guide. He had interesting and accurate stories. The cold water was a plus. This was my favorite tour while in Savannah because of Tim’s great storytelling. This is a must do.
The cemetary itself is fascinating. We didn't really know what to expect but the wild grounds and the elegant tombs and trees draped with spanish moss created exactly the mood and ambiance we were hoping to find. But the best part was really the tour guide Tim, who is a local, and has a ton of personal experiences and anecdotes about the cemetary and Savannah itself.
Tim was an excellent guide. He had hands on knowledge of the cemetary and personal connections to the area and place that made the stories incredibly in depth. The cemetary was also hauntingly beautiful. We had a group of 8 and every person had a wonderful time and took something away. Highly recommend taking this tour while in Savannah.

Excellent tour! Our guide Tim was extremely knowledgeable of not only the cemetery but also of downtown Savanna from historical, architectural and cultural perspectives. Hotel pickup was incredibly convenient, comfortable and efficient.
Tim was fantastic! He picked us up at our hotel and we drove out to Bonaventure. He grew up in Savannah and he weaves his personal experiences into the history - it made the tour feel more authentic. He is extremely knowledgeable! He offered us cold water and as we walked he found shady spots for us to stand in as he told the stories of the graveyard. The ride back to our hotel was great - air conditioned and with Johnny Mercer songs playing on the radio. Highly recommend this tour!!
Tim did a great job - we had him all to ourselves on July 9th. He picked us up at our hotels (connecting with him was efficient and easy) and took us out to Bonaventure. After a quick stop at the visitor center for a hygiene break, and some cold bottled water (which Tim provided) we then had a driving tour of the Cemetery for a good overview, and then parked, and did a more extensive walking tour. Two of our foursome are Freemasons, and he made a point of showing us some of the more interesting monuments "For the Craft". The only downside was it was a brutally hot day, but Tim was very conscious of that, finding places in the shade where he could give us historical and cultural details about Bonaventure. All in all, a really great tour with a great tour guide! Highly recommended!
Our guide was very informative and helpful. Communication was clear, tour pacing was perfect. We learned a lot and had plenty of time for questions and pictures. He picked us up at our hotel and dropped us off in a separate location for lunch when we were done.
