The most immersive experience you can have in Boa Vista, absolutely not to be missed. The sense of freedom and being one with the surrounding environment that the quad offers is unparalleled. We started with the 4-hour Santa Monica-South Desert tour, then we enjoyed it so much that we also did the 2-hour Shipwreck-Viana Desert tour (a miniature Sahara) and finally the 2-hour buggy tour in the so-called Valley of Death. We were fortunate to do all of them with Mauro as our guide, attentive to safety, friendly, pleasant, and always present and available without being intrusive. If you decide to do both quad tours, we recommend doing the 2-hour northern tour first and then the 4-hour southern tour (if you do the shorter one first, the 2-hour tour will seem really too short...). The buggy tour, on the other hand, is more focused on the pleasure of off-road driving. On that occasion, we also had the chance to "test" the patience and competence of the other guides, Ricardo and Dener. At registration, the staff is courteous and speaks several languages. We will definitely do it again.
It was a truly wonderful tour and a fantastic experience to ride a quad bike through the desert and along the beach. I highly recommend it to everyone. Special thanks go to our guide, Vagner. He told us a lot about the island and what we saw.

The quad bike tour on Boa Vista was a real highlight in the landscape – impressive dunes, dreamlike beaches and a great sense of adventure. The track was varied and a lot of fun. Unfortunately there was a serious accident during our tour: One participant lost control of her quad bike on a straight road and fell into a ditch. She was seriously injured. From our point of view, this was not only due to the difficulty of the route, but also due to the inadequate instruction and the short safety distances between the vehicles. We would like to stress that the tour is very worthwhile in itself, but more emphasis should be placed on safety as a matter of urgency – clear and detailed instructions, stricter rules on distances and a better eye for the group by the guides would be necessary. Those who love adventure will surely be thrilled here, but should be aware of the risks.
My partner and I took the quad bike tour between the beach of Santa Monica, Varandhina and P. Velha, The whole thing was a show, led by our super guide Vagner, super calm, kind and patient guy, We even got to see the turtles in the turtle bay. This experience I recommend to everyone and with Vagner was wonderful. Thanks for everything.
