De Blue Mountains is een van de grootste natuurlijke landschappen van Australië — een oud zandsteenplateau doorsneden door diepe valleien, dramatische kliffen, trapsgewijze watervallen en bossen van blauw-hazed eucalyptus die zich uitstrekken tot aan de horizon. We halen je op bij je hotel in Sydney en gaan direct de bergen in. De dag is volledig privé en gevormd rond uw interesses — of dat nu een serieuze wandeling in de valleien betekent, een zachtere wandeling door het regenwoud of een schilderachtige rit tussen de beste uitkijkpunten met tijd om te blijven hangen waar het verdient. De hoogtepunten zijn de Three Sisters, Bridal Veil Falls, een prachtig uitzicht op Jamison Valley en rustigere hoeken die de meeste dagtours niet bereiken. Een wandeling door het regenwoud van de Blauwe Bergen — varens, oude bomen, vogelgezang — is iets wat de meeste bezoekers hier niet verwachten. Greg bereidt een vers gemaakte picknicklunch — zuurdesembrood, seizoenssalades en iets zoets — geserveerd op een schilderachtige locatie die bij de dag past.

Zie een van de beste uitkijkpunten in de bergen. Deze uitkijkpost biedt een prachtig uitzicht op de Jamison Valley, Narrow Neck Peninsula, Mt Solitary en de wereldberoemde drie zussen. De uitkijkpost Echo Point bestaat uit twee niveaus met veel punten en balkons van waaruit u het verbazingwekkende blauwe ontwaasde landschap kunt observeren.
Om de uitgestrektheid van de Blue Mountains te peilen bezoeken we 5 verschillende uitkijkposten, waarvan Govetts Leap er één is. Vanaf de Govetts Leap uitkijkpost zullen we de prachtige steile kliffen, zandsteen hellingen, diepe canyons en het dichte Eucalypt bos van de Grose Valley waarderen. Bridal Veil Falls ligt aan onze linkerkant als we naar de vallei kijken en daalt 180 meter in de Grose Valley. Ja een andere vallei en een die je erg blij zal zijn om te zien!
Ervaar de Skyway, de kabelbaan en 's werelds steilste hellingbaan bij Scenic World. Bij het bereiken van de valleibodem maken we een regenwoudwandeling genietend van een breed scala aan eucalyptenbomen. U kunt de grond levende liervogel tegenkomen die bekend staat om zijn ongelooflijke vermogen om bijna elk geluid na te bootsen, inclusief machines!
Er zijn een aantal geweldige bushwalks in de Blue Mountains. We bezoeken graag enkele van de afgelegen plaatsen. Neem contact op en we sturen een overzicht van de beschikbare opties, inclusief de looptijd en moeilijkheidsgraad van de wandeling.
Het uitkijkpunt Anvil Rock biedt een prachtig uitzicht op de Grose Valley. We zullen ook de nabijgelegen door de wind geërodeerde grot bezoeken, een ongewoon grote zandstenen overhang die door de wind is uitgehouwen.
Deze rotsconfiguratie lijkt op de kop van een everzwijn. De uitkijk biedt een panoramisch uitzicht op de Megalong-vallei en het Smalle Halsplateau.

We really like this tour because Greg took us to places tour buses cannot access. He drove us through unsealed road to Butterbox trail. We walked to Butterbox point. The view of valley was amazing. We also walked to some cool rock formation and cave. Greg is very knowledgeable and he created trip details according to our request.

Highly recommend this tour if you want to experience the beauty of Blue Mountains area in one day. Greg did an excellent job of providing us brief history and adjusted our itinerary to accommodate weather changes. Greg was up for personalizing our experience and helped us pick a longer more challenging bush walk. He picked me and my adult daughter up from our hotel and drove us to the big lookouts and to the fortress ridge trailhead. We appreciated how in the car he matched our energy and did not feel the need to fill the silence with chatter. While in the car, he turned on the local Sunday mornings with Macca which was a treat to listen to and get a feel for local culture. Greg was very easy going and we felt very comfortable with him as our guide. He was very knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna and Australian history. He also packed a delicious picnic lunch for us, including the Australian Lamington cake which was delicious. By the end of the day, Greg felt like one of our hiking buddies.

I highly recommend booking a private tour with Sydney Nimble Tours! Our family spent a day with Greg in the Blue Mountains. The vehicle was spacious and comfortable, and we felt safe during the entire drive. Greg reached out prior to the scheduled tour date to give recommendations and to plan the itinerary. The schedule is flexible, but you can check out his website to get ideas. We really wanted to visit the glow worm tunnel during the daytime, and Greg made it happen! It's a long drive out to the tunnel, but we drove through charming villages and stopped at scenic lookouts along the way. Greg knows the best photo spots and was our photographer during the tour. Chef Greg prepared us a delicious picnic lunch and he made sure to provide snacks throughout the day. After seeing the glow worms, we encountered several kangaroos on our drive home. It was such a satisfying day! Greg is a wealth of knowlege and so friendly and helpful. Don't hesitate to book a private tour with him!

We had a fabulous day with Greg of Sydney NimbleTours on the Blue Mountains day tour. He is a chef, photographer, a connoisseur of plum and carrot cakes, and a great tour guide. Greg was very personable, knowledgeable as well as flexible to accommodate our needs. The day was thoroughly enjoyable and we saw a lot of great views while learning about the history and habitats. I would HIGHLY recommend him to show you his native city of Sydney and the Blue Mountains.

My wife, adult daughter, her boyfriend and I recently visited Sydney. We wanted to spend time in the Blue Mountains, but didn’t want to rent a car. We also wanted to avoid the “small tours” as they seemed impersonal. We came upon the “Blue Mountains” tour with Greg at Sydney Nimble Tours. It was a private tour for only the four of us, with Greg as our guide. This was one of the best decisions of our entire 3-week trip! Before we even arrived in Australia, he asked us about our sightseeing goals. Although there are stops already listed on the website for the tour, he was very flexible and wanted the day to be exactly as we wished. He made suggestions of things to add and subtract. He also adjusted the order of our tour to optimize smaller crowds. We wanted to do some hiking, and he recommended a hike with beautiful views and incredible rock formations. Greg picked us up from our hotel. He did all the driving, telling us various interesting facts along the way. He dropped us off at Scenic World for a visit and to ride the three rides, then picked us up and continued showing us spectacular views, stopping periodically for optimal lookouts and photo ops. We enjoyed a picnic lunch at a quiet grassy area near one of the lookouts and he made us sandwiches, served with side salads and drinks. He drove us deep into the mountains and we hiked the Butterbox Trail and saw stunningly unusual ironstone rock formations. Greg knew all about the rocks and flora and told us native lore and history from the area. We stopped by the Carrington Hotel in Katoomba for a late afternoon tea on our way back to Sydney. Greg was a tour guide extraordinaire! He was so kind and knowledgeable, a safe driver, local lore storyteller, knower of plants and rocks, hiking leader, and even took great photos along the way. We have been raving about our day with him in the Blue Mountains. We all highly recommend this Blue Mountains tour!

About to leave Australia after many years here so we decided to go somewhere interesting, and we’re glad we chose Greg from Sydney Nimble Tours to lead the way. Not our first tour with Greg but definitely the one most worth remembering! He took us to see so many breath-taking views and opened our eyes to a whole new different side of Blue Mountains. Greg picked us up for a three day trip that included the Blue Mountains, Capertee which hosts the second largest canyon in the world, Lithgow and Mudgee, with lots of sightseeing along the way. Greg is such easy company, knowledgeable and very flexible with what to see and do. Lunch, drinks and snacks were all provided, so all we had to do was enjoy ourselves, which of course we did. Thanks Greg for all your hard work, we were very appreciative and can highly recommend you.
