Tijdens deze tour bezoekt u 2 plaatsen. Blue Grotto waar u de kans krijgt om een boottocht te maken voor een meerprijs en zie de fantastische grotten en Marsaxlokk vissersdorp waar u een heerlijke vislunch kunt eten of ook vis en nog veel meer items van de markt kunt kopen. De markt is niet beschikbaar op 3 augustus & 21 september 2025, omdat er het dorpsfeest op Marsaxlokk zal zijn. Je bent nog steeds 90 minuten op Marsaxlokk om de feesten te zien, iets te eten en naar de prachtige boten te kijken

Je rijdt eerst naar de Blue Grotto. De Blue Grotto is eigenlijk een aantal zeegrotten aan de zuidkust van Malta, ten westen van de Wied iz-Zurrieq-haven en over het kleine onbewoonde eilandje Filfla. Elke dag van zonsopgang tot ongeveer 1300 uur is hier een uniek zicht te zien. De locatie van de grot in combinatie met het zonlicht dat naar de waterspiegeling leidt, vertoont talloze blauwtinten. Verschillende grotten weerspiegelen de schitterende fosforescerende kleuren van de onderwaterflora; andere spelonken vertonen een diepe donkere tint blauw. Als het weer het toelaat, kunt u tegen een toeslag een boottocht van 25 minuten door de grotten maken.
Marsaxlokk is een zeer populaire attractie voor toeristen en de lokale bevolking, omdat er dezelfde ochtend verse vis en zeevruchten kunnen worden gekocht. De markt is erg interessant en aantrekkelijk omdat er veel verschillende items worden verkocht. Hoewel de markt oorspronkelijk een vismarkt was, heeft deze zich ontwikkeld en verkoopt ze nu ook lokaal geproduceerde honing, fruitjam, wijn, maar ook groenten, souvenirs en kleding. In dit pittoreske dorpje wordt vrije tijd gegeven.

Blue grotto is mediocre. Coach park negotiations are unsafe. Our bus collided with another. Marsaxlokk Market has very good produce fish and other souvenirs. The trap does not allow enough time for lunch and a brows around the market. We decided to get the public bus back to Valletta and leave the tour. We did not feel that this was good value for money and if we planned it again we would simply take the local buses
This was a pleasant stop on our day tour of Malta. The fishing boats parked at the marina offer a glimpse of the life that these people live in their daily routine. The town has some nice shops and a nice Catholic Church that is free to explore
We found it a complete rip off for 15 euros per person the bus trip getting there was good nice scenery blue grotto disappointing couldn't see anything apart from rocks it was dangerous walking on the rocks not for seniors the market was a complete waste of time very crowded prices were incredibly high the goods were rubbish if you want to go use the local transport so much cheaper
The trip ran smoothly from start to finish. The pick up time and place was confirmed the night before and they turned up like planned. The blue grotto boat trip was amazing. The market was a great experience although very busy on a very hot day. We still enjoyed the trip.

The Blue Grotto and Sunday Market at Marsaxlokk Fishing Village Tour was absolutely amazing! Our guide, Daiva, is one of the most wonderful women I’ve ever met. Her knowledge about Malta is outstanding, and she explained everything with so much passion and clarity. She was very polite and respectful, especially in the way she spoke with our driver, Lali. It was heartwarming to see such a good connection between them. Lali drove us safely and comfortably throughout the tour. I’m truly happy and would love to join more tours with Daiva. Highly recommend this tour and the whole team!

Maria was great. We had plenty of time at each location. A reasonable fitness level is required for the walk to the boat tour and into the village from the bus drop off point. It was a very memorable day. I recommend this tour.

No doubt it is interesting, and we should visit even to be able to comment and compare. Those who know our Benagil Caves in Portimão and other small wonders on our Algarve coast... do not love the ones visited in Malta. However I say worth it for the reasons mentioned
Guide was ok. However, it took 2 hours to pick everyone up, then drove to the Blue Grotto, which was closed. So photo opp only. Markets are really just some fresh fish, vegetables and loads of cheap knock offshore from China. The guide advises not to but the fish if heading back k on the bus for obvious reasons. The location is nice and many restaurants. So, frankly, get an Uber...cheaper and quicker.
While it was windy, the tour was great. There was a delay because of the buses had some issues and had to replace. Went to the Blue Grotto and saw the seven different caves. It was so awesome and blue (which is my favorite color); keep in mind, visiting this on a tour is not always a guarantee based on wind and water conditions. You can walk or take some transportation that costs a $1. I think it is a car. The fishing village was very nice as well. You could literally spend a whole day there but two hours or so. Highly recommend. I probably would not procrastinate.
