Eerst stoppen we bij de mini-dierentuin, zien de typische dieren, vogels en gaan dan verder naar de plantage. verbaasd over de plantage kun je ook genieten van verschillende soorten fruit De volgende stop is bij Playa Caleton, waar het water kalm en kristalhelder is dan gaan we verder naar de blauwe dudu-lagune hier zijn verschillende manieren om van het zwembad te genieten. Er zijn verschillende platforms van verschillende hoogte waarmee je in het water kunt springen (het hoogste platform is behoorlijk spannend!) Of je kunt je vasthangen aan een zipline met een metalen frame en loslaten als je over het water zoeft. Er zijn ook trappen die toegang geven tot het zwembad als u niet wilt springen of een zipline wilt nemen. In de hoge luchtvochtigheid van de Dominicaanse Republiek is het koele water van de lagune meer dan verfrissend. Bovendien is het leuk om te zien hoe anderen in je groep vanaf de platforms in het water springen terwijl je zwemt. (Stop dan in Playa Grande om te lunchen en te genieten van het strand. De resterende uren van de route zijn twee uur retourvervoer)

Je ziet alle fauna en flora van het ''Rio San Juan dorp'' en je krijgt de gelegenheid om ze te proeven.

What a beautiful day we had at The Blue Lagoon Be saw beautiful lagoons and got to go ziplining. What an experience we had. We went to a beautiful beach and enjoyed a delicious lunch. Go and experience the plantations of the DR. You will love this excursion. Our guide is a beautiful man. Thank you so much for the beautiful memories ❤️
The Guide/Driver never showed up at our agreed upon pickup location. Attempted several messages and several phone calls to the guide and now have to go through the process of attempting to attain a refund. Please avoid this guide to save yourself the frustration of missing out on the excursion and then having to fight for a refund. Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed as this was a part of our trip we were very much looking forward to.
I booked this trip over 3 weeks in advance, had the tickets from Viator and no one showed up at our agreed upon pickup location. Waited for an hour, left several messages and calls to receive nothing in return. Viator also attempted to call them to which they did not answer either. Please do yourself a favor and book through a different company for this excursion!
The water is so soft, I don't know how to explain it. An experience to live. You can get there by car very easily. The cost of entry was less than $10 per person.
Stood up for original time and day. Tour operator horrible! He offered the next day as private said he would call between 5-8pm. I called 2 times after 8pm no answer , sent a short text stating he was waiting for confirmation. Finally a call at 9:24 stating in the morning at 7:30. At 7:14 another call stating a “situation” and would be this morning. I made other arrangements as I couldn’t just keep waiting on him. It is now 9:15am and still radio silence. Stay away from Gillary tours especially if you are a solo female.
What a wonderful and beautiful place to visit. The water is so clear and fresh. The taxi driver was so pleasant. The driver provided us with Dominican breakfast lol. The best. I would definitely go back, a must visit. You will enjoy, especially the drive through the towns to take it all in.
We had a wonderful time with our guide Alex and driver Juan Carlos. It was a bit of a road trip but Benjamin was fantastic in managing expectations for the drive. It was well worth it to see some of the true Dominican countryside and towns. As a military brat I really appreciated having a guide who was so familiar with the area and spoke such great English that we always felt very safe and informed. Alex and Juan Carlos were fantastic road trip hosts and became our Dominican family. We will always be grateful for the memories we have created!
