If you love the idea of flying in an open-cockpit airplane booking a tour with Vintage is a no brainer. The PT-17 was designed and built to serve as a primary trainer, which means that its safety factor is very high - 2.5 times. Touring the coast line while being flown by Benjamin was one of the best experiences of my life. Since I fly large-scale model airplanes, up to 1/3 scale, Benjamin let me take the stick as much as possible. What a thrill! Vintage Airtour is located right off 35 on the way to the local airport and not the physical address shown on their website. Look for a white dome and banner. It's a classy setup.
My wife surprised me with the biplane tour for my birthday. What a tour! The entire experience was amazing! Ben told us the history and walked us thru the preflight inspection then did an amazing job of making sure my flight was first rate! I would highly recommend this tour! So much fun!
