In het warme en donkere lagunewater ligt een natuurlijk fenomeen van gloeiend blauw water levend met activiteit. Het kronkelen van je hand, elke peddelslag en het rollende wake-off van je kajak schitteren in de duisternis. Niet alleen laten vissen sporen achter, zien dolfijnen eruit als torpedo's en zeekoeien zijn een langzame en sierlijke onderzeeër. Veel gasten vergelijken de ervaring met Pandora van 'Avatar'. Sommigen herinneren zelfs aan de bioluminescentie-scène in 'Life of Pi' terwijl het zachte plankton een druppelende gloed achterlaat wanneer je het in je handen houdt en het langs je arm laat druppelen. Hoewel sommigen dit misschien schaamteloos de schuld geven van NASA-afstroming, is het in feite de biologische reactie van microscopisch kleine algen, een dinoflagellate genaamd. De volkomen natuurlijke en onschadelijke concentratie van organismen produceert licht voor uw ogen, vaak bestaande in miljoenen per liter water. - Kleding die je niet erg vindt, wordt een beetje nat. Handdoek (links in de auto)
- Waterschoenen - sandalen of crocs die in het water kunnen worden gedragen
- Breng een extra kans op kleding voor het geval dat
- Camera- en droogzak (optioneel) Deze zijn tamelijk nutteloos om bioluminescentie vast te leggen, maar ook prima voor het vastleggen van mensen.
- Flessen water, snacks
- Alle speciale persoonlijke peddelspullen als je wilt
- Je mag een zaklamp meenemen, hoewel we een veiligheidslampje zullen leveren.

It was a magical night. We saw bright glowing waters, flying fish and even a shooting star. Absolutely worth seeing again and again. The guides were passionate and friendly. They were very patient with our kids who were trying to get the hang of paddling.
Great time in the water and seeing the Bioluminescence was really neat. Guides knew what they were doing and were safety conscious.
The meeting location had ample parking. After a safety protocol chat, we were ready to get in the boats. Garrett guided us to calmer waters where an amazing sunset was just the beginning of a magical evening. A sea turtle made a rare appearance. As darkness settled in the bioluminescence became visible with each stroke of the paddle. The mullet started hopping causing trails of bioluminescence. Our sweep, Blue, was always close by to kindly answer questions and help with the kayaks. A bottle- nose dolphin briefly showed itself. Even though we were in Mosquito Lagoon, bugs were not an issue! The time passed so quickly, the rowing was pretty easy.
The tour was exactly as described in the promotional. David, Dylan, Coyote, and Sara all did a great job at keeping the group together and informed along the way. Not an easy task when you have several people who have never kayaked before. Choose this bioluminescence tour and you won’t be disappointed.

What a fun trip! Matthew was our guide, he was friendly and knowledgeable. We had a great time and the bioluminescence was amazing. We saw all gators, dolphins and cool fish glowing in the water like magic! We would do this again would recommend.

What an unforgettable experience! This bioluminescence kayak tour was one of the absolute highlights of our holiday. Watching the water sparkle and glow as the conditions allowed was truly magical, and being out on the water at night made the whole experience feel so special. A huge thank you to all of the guides, who were fantastic from start to finish. Everyone was friendly, professional, and worked hard to make sure the whole group had a great time. A special mention to Anthony, whose knowledge was exceptional. He shared so many fascinating facts about the bioluminescence, wildlife, and the local area, making the tour both educational and entertaining. We also have to give a special thank you to Cody, who was amazing with our 9-year-old son. He was funny, engaging, and made him feel really included, which meant the world to us. We can’t recommend this tour highly enough. It was a unique experience we’ll never forget.
