De grot van Melissani in Kefalonia ligt net buiten Sami. Het is een van de meest dramatische plaatsen voor toeristen om te bezoeken in Griekenland. Er is een prachtig meer in de grot met mooie bomen en bossen eromheen. De grot zelf is B-vormig. Het dak van een van de hallen is eeuwen geleden ingestort en liet prachtig zonlicht binnen. De diepte van het meer is 20 tot 30 meter. Na een korte overstaptijd heb je de kans om een boottocht op het meer te maken. Er zijn ongeveer 7 roeiboten die elk ongeveer 10 mensen kunnen vervoeren. De gidsen leggen uit hoe het meer is ontstaan.
Ga voor fotoshoots naar het beroemde uitkijkpunt Myrtos Beach, een van de meest populaire attracties in Kefalonia. Het ligt 29 km ten noorden van Argostoli, in een charmante omgeving omringd door prachtige heuvels. Het strand van Myrtos heeft wereldwijde bekendheid verworven. Het is vele malen uitgeroepen tot het beste strand van Griekenland!
We passeren de prachtige lagune van Argostoli, naast de oude brug, en de favoriete plek was waar de Turtles Careta Careta zwemmen. Als we tijd hebben, zullen we ook stoppen.

A phenomenal tour with the fantastic Giota who gave us an in depth overview of the island and its history. Added a bonus beach stop plus the caves. What a legend plus a great playlist in the air-conditioned van. One of our best tours on the Greek islands 🇬🇷 And the Lake and Myrtos Beach to die for 🌊😍
I had an amazing experience thanks to our wonderful tour guide Giota! She was very knowledgeable and friendly. Our trip took us to Myrtos beach, Melissani lake, Antisamos beach and Drogarati cave. Antisamos beach was not part of the tour I booked but was an added surprise. I loved everything but my favorites were Myrtos beach and Melissani lake. The color of the water was so beautiful. We were provided water and umbrellas to use at Myrtos. Antisamos has free sun beds if you buy a drink. Antisamos beach was featured in the movie Captain Corelli’s Mandolin. Giota was so helpful throughout the experience. I highly recommend this tour!
