Op het moment van uw keuze zal uw informatieve en professionele Tour-chauffeur snel bij uw hotelreceptie of andere woning zijn om u op uw tour te begeleiden. Delphi ligt in het gebied van de berg Parnassus en vanuit Athene loopt uw route door een prachtige mix van landelijke landbouwgrond en toenemende hoogte, samen met prachtige uitzichten op de heuvels. Onderweg leer je over de diepte van de geschiedenis in Delphi, de mythologie, de culturele elementen van het oude leven en alle belangrijke dingen die je tijdens je bezoek zult zien.
Gelegen in een prachtig landschap op de hellingen van Mt Parnassos, bezoeken we vervolgens een van de belangrijkste en best bewaarde Byzantijnse kloosters die er zijn, en die op de werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO staat. Verken de 1100 jaar oude architectuur samen met de unieke en indrukwekkende fresco's
Lunchstop. Breng tijd door met genieten van de lokale ambachtswinkels en een prachtig uitzicht over de Plestos-vallei.
Inzet op brede terrassen langs de heuvel hebben we het geluk dat de aardverschuivingen van voorgaande eeuwen veel van de oude overblijfselen voor ons hebben bewaard, waaronder de tempel van Apollo uit de 4e eeuw voor Christus, de Castiliaanse bron van de mythologie, theater, schatkamergebouwen, tempels van Athena en Gymnasium waar atleten samenkwamen voor de Pythische spelen om te baden in de heilige wateren. Tijdens je bezoek aan Delphi kun je nog steeds de fysieke structuren zien die horen bij deze ongelooflijk lange geschiedenis.
Op korte afstand binnen de archeologische vindplaats vindt u de tempel van Apollo uit de 4e eeuw voor Christus, het epicentrum van de mystieke ceremonie van waaruit het Orakel haar profetieën sprak.
Een mooie aanvulling op de site is het moderne museum met vondsten die teruggaan in de tijd tot minstens 1500 v. . Opmerkelijke stukken zijn onder andere de Naxos Sphynx, de tweeling Kouroi en de beroemde bronzen wagenmenner. Als u klaar bent, brengt uw chauffeur u veilig terug naar uw locatie in Athene.

We had a wonderful day with Petros. He was informative and entertaining at the same time. We saw the main sites of Corinth but also a few off the beaten path gems. A must do tour if you are on a cruise stop in Athens and have seen the sights in town and are looking to see something new. We were originally scheduled to go to Delphi but discovered that it would take most of the day to drive there and back. If you are on a cruise stop, be careful what you book. Not all tours provide enough information in their booking description.

I think the most important thing we did was add the local English speaking guide to join us on site. She was very knowledgeable, local and understandable. It really made the day enjoyable and educational.

Terry was a fabulous and knowledgeable guide! He picked us up at our hotel, whisked us out of the city, regaling us with stories of Greek mythology and ancient history. We stopped at a 1500 year old monastery, ate lunch at a family owned restaurant and then spent the rest of our day touring the ruins of Delphi. My daughter and I enjoyed the drive out into the countryside and appreciated Terry’s candor and command of Greek history. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

It was a dream tour through the history - from Athens to Arachova near the famous mount Parnassos, then Delfi and its temples and finally Osios Loukas monastery. The top of the day was a lunch in Delfi with a breathtaking view to the mountains and excellent local food. Our driver Yiannis told us a lot of stories about history of Greece and about mythology. What a wonderful day!

From the moment our driver, Mario, picked us up at our hotel in the morning until he returned us safely in the evening, we were comfortable, informed and entertained. We learned as much from Mario as we did from the sites on the tour ... about Greek culture, history, education, economics, family traditions and more. My only regret is that we didn’t get a photo of Mario, who was expecting the birth of his first child this winter. We wish him well! A wonderful day. Highly recommend.
I cant spell or pronounce our Greek drivers’ name, but he said it is “Will or William” in English. He was wonderful!! We couldn’t have asked for a more professional or courteous expert....thankful for the experience we were able to share with our friends! Communication was easy, request were obliged and we never felt rushed. Lunch was incredible. This was more than a five star experience. Thanks for exceeding our expectations!
Our party of seven had two Fabulous days with Demetrius! He was very polite, courteous, professional, Very knowledgeable regarding history, Fun to be with, and extremely accommodating in every way!
