Ben Duoc 'minder drukke' Cu Chi-tunnels van een halve dag

Joy Journeys zorgt altijd voor de ervaring van onze klanten. Bij al onze tours is er een kleine groep van maximaal 10 gasten die de Cu Chi-tunnels bezoeken. Onze groep zal het grootste deel van de tijd doorbrengen in de Ben Duoc-tunnels, die bekend staan als de minder drukke, minder drukke en meer authentieke ervaringstijd in Cu Chi. Onze tour biedt een unieke kans om getuige te zijn van de oorlogsgeschiedenis van Vietnam door de ondergrondse Cu Chi-tunnels te verkennen. Je krijgt de kans om de boobytraps te zien die tijdens de oorlog zijn gebruikt en de voormalige Amerikaanse legertank uit de Vietnamoorlog te verkennen door deze aan te raken. Bovendien kun je in de tunnels van Cu Chi kruipen en naast de tunnels het lokaal geteelde Viet Cong-voedsel, tapioca, proeven. Ten slotte zul je getuige zijn van de propaganda van Vietcong-soldaten in de wijk Tan Phu Trung en de ondergrondse Hoang Cam-keuken ervaren. Het hoogtepunt van de tour is wanneer je de tunnels in kunt kruipen om te voelen hoe het was tijdens de oorlog.

Gasten worden voor aanvang van de tour opgehaald bij de accommodatie in District 1, District 3 en District 4. Het ophalen duurt meestal ongeveer 30 minuten. Na het ophalen ga je naar Cu Chi om de geschiedenis van de Tunnels te ontdekken.
De Cu Chi-tunnels, gelegen in Ho Chi Minh-stad, Vietnam, waren een uitgebreid netwerk van ondergrondse tunnels die dienden als een kritieke strategische locatie tijdens de oorlog in Vietnam. De tunnels, die over meerdere jaren zijn gebouwd, overspanden meer dan 250 kilometer en bestonden uit meerdere lagen, waaronder woonvertrekken, keukens, vergaderruimten, ziekenhuizen en zelfs scholen. De tunnels werden met de hand gegraven, met behulp van rudimentair gereedschap zoals schoppen, schoffels en pikhouwelen, en de arbeiders verwijderden de grond uit de tunnels en verstopten deze in nabijgelegen velden om detectie te voorkomen. Navigeren door de Cu Chi-tunnels was een complexe taak, waarvoor gespecialiseerde kennis en training nodig was. De tunnels waren smal, met een hoogte van slechts een paar voet, en waren vaak gevuld met vallen en obstakels, zoals spijkerkuilen en verborgen deuren. De Vietcong-soldaten waren getraind om stil en snel door de tunnels te bewegen en hun kennis van het terrein te gebruiken om detectie te voorkomen.
De tour eindigt terug naar je hotel in Ho Chi Minh-stad. Reizigers die dicht bij de luchthaven willen worden afgezet, verzoeken wij u dit te allen tijde aan ons door te geven.

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
We halen je op en zetten je af van/bij je accommodatie in District 1 en District 4. Het ophalen duurt meestal 30 minuten. De exacte ophaaltijd en de informatie van de gids ontvangt u de avond voor vertrek. *Opmerking: Reizigers wordt aangeraden om voor de reis te ontbijten en extra snacks mee te nemen, omdat het verkeer onvoorspelbaar kan zijn en je honger kunt hebben als we later dan verwacht terugkeren naar het centrum van de stad. Onderweg is een korte koffiepauze inbegrepen (op eigen kosten).

Kero was an excellent guide, very informative and super friendly. The Chuchi tunnels themselves are fascinating and this tour gives you a good showing of all the different types of tunnels and how the Viet Com lived during the war. Thanks for the trip Kero!
Typhoon Honey took us on a fun and educational journey through one of Vietnam's most historical war sites. Great fun with the group too, with stops to shoot guns and see some handicrafts. At some point you will be given the choice to go 50m or 1m, choose 50m :)
We were very pleased with the tour with our tour guide Typhoon Honey. He was very friendly, knowledgeable about the area, and had a commendable knowledge regarding the Cu Chi tunnels and the entire history of the war. We found the half-day tour to be very pleasant, especially considering the distance of the tunnels from the city. We had a very nice day and would do the tour again at any time. It was an amazing tour! We visited some Vietnamese tunnels and bunkers, and after that we went to the shooting range. We also had a tour of the art factory. Our guide was incredibly positive, friendly, and energetic. He created a great atmosphere throughout the entire trip and filled the day with good vibes. His enthusiasm made the experience even more enjoyable and memorable. I'm very grateful to him for such a wonderful tour. Everything was well organized and fun. His kindness, positive energy, and enthusiasm made the entire day so enjoyable, and he went out of his way to share information about Vietnam, local culture, and other places to visit throughout the trip. I’d highly recommend doing this early in your trip, as you learn so many helpful local tips along the way. The Cu Chi Tunnels themselves are absolutely worth visiting. Walking through the forest, learning about the massive tunnel network, and seeing the different traps and above-ground setups was incredibly interesting. Kero did a fantastic job bringing the history to life and explaining how everything was used. There is quite a bit of driving involved, so it’s good to be prepared for that, but Kero used the time well by walking us through the itinerary and sharing stories and recommendations throughout the drive. Overall, this was a really informative and memorable tour, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Vietnam.
