We vertrekken vanuit Bellagio en varen naar het hart van het centrale meer: kalme wateren, historische huizen en botanische parken die aflopen naar de oever. Vanuit het meer gezien vertelt elke hoek een verhaal: een verborgen loggia, een balkon met uitzicht op het water, een landtong die weerspiegeld wordt in het bassin beneden. De belangrijkste stop is Villa del Balbianello, een van de meest gewilde residenties aan het Comomeer en tevens de minst toegankelijke op eigen houtje. De toegang is beperkt, dus door het in je reisschema op te nemen, ben je verzekerd van bevoorrechte toegang die veel mensen mislopen. Terrassen met uitzichtpunten, een aangelegd park en eenvoudige architectuur vormen een uniek en sfeervol geheel. BELANGRIJKE INFORMATIE Het ticket geeft toegang tot het park, maar niet tot de binnenruimtes. Verblijfsduur ter plaatse: ongeveer een uur. De retourtijd wordt na bevestiging vastgesteld. De villa staat geen uitzonderingen toe: wie de vooraf afgesproken inscheping mist, verliest de terugreis naar Bellagio.

Villa del Balbianello behoort tot de meest gewilde plekken aan het Comomeer, maar is tegelijkertijd ook een van de moeilijkst bereikbare locaties op eigen houtje. De toegang is beperkt en de plaatsen zijn snel volgeboekt: door het in je tour op te nemen, zorg je ervoor dat bezoekers een ervaring beleven die veel anderen niet kunnen meemaken. Terrassen die boven het water hangen, terrastuinen en architectuur uit vervlogen tijden creëren een landschap van zeldzame schoonheid, dat u het beste op uw gemak kunt verkennen. De rondleiding omvat VIP-toegang tot de tuinen van de villa.

Booked 1 month in advance: boat trip + skip-the-line access to the Villa del Balbianello gardens, 1:20 PM slot. Cancelled by email at 12:15 PM due to "dangerous weather conditions" — even though the rain had stopped and boats, including theirs until ~12:30 PM, were circulating on the lake. Their ticket office then gave us another version: gardens "sold out today and tomorrow," confirmed in writing on WhatsApp ("No tickets with us"). We walked up: tickets bought in 30 minutes at the villa's official ticket office. At 2:30 PM, their boats docked at the villa's pier (photo). Three contradictory versions, a "VIP access" paid for but never provided. Refunded, but tickets repurchased out of our own pocket and the crossing never took place.
Extremely disappointing experience. The service was very poor from start to finish. The staff arrived late themselves, yet when we arrived at the exact time of our booked reservation, they refused to let us in. Instead, we were forced to wait for more than an hour without any clear explanation or apology. During that time, the staff made no real effort to solve the situation or communicate with us properly. Even worse, we were not the only ones affected—several other tourists were left waiting as well and were also ignored when asking for help. Despite paying for a scheduled experience, we received no assistance, no solution, and no consideration for the inconvenience they caused. The lack of professionalism, organization, and customer service was shocking. I would not recommend this company to anyone, as they clearly do not value their customers’ time or treat them with respect.
Terrible experience, they did not respect the ferry departure forecasts in the slightest both on the way there and on the way back, very long wait under the scorching sun without a minimum of shelter.. They treat the tourist only as revenue.... I recommend using the taxi boats, there are many and you don't have to wait in the sun
They oversold the boat by at least 10 people, making people stand. Playing loud crappy country music didn’t help!
After checking in, everyone had to stand in the blazing sun for 25 minutes. As a result, we started off with a delay. Thus, there was only about 45 minutes left for the visit to the villa. The return trip also included a stop at a different port. Therefore, we returned approximately 1.5 hours late! And that for about €140 for 2 people. There is really no praise to be given here. !
