What a pleasure it was to meet Stuart, our guide, and to have his company on this tour. Having toured MCG, this felt so much more personal, and so lovely to hear stories of players and matches that really brought the tour to life. Even the weather didn’t dampen our spirits! Thank you!

The behind the scenes is must for any sporting fan visiting Sydney. Even better if you are a history buff who loves sport. Sitting in the same dressing with the sporting idols of my generation, and those before me was a privilege as a cricket tragic. Our guide Warwick told many great stories with a great sense of humour. For the extensive access provided, it is fantastic value for money.

Less than great experience for a behind the scenes tour the only thing you seen was cricket rooms. They were great however the rest of the tour was a waste of money and time as you can see the other spots when you attend a game. We were super excited to do this tour as we have done the one in Adelaide and MCG and they were remarkable. Vanessa was our tour guide and although she had some knowledge she struggled to keep the group engaged and her sense of humour/ personality was a strange way to connect. The group size of 11 was great though.

I booked this tour as a 60th birthday surprise for my partner, a genuine cricket tragic, and it exceeded every expectation. From the moment we stepped into the SCG Museum for our private tour, we knew this was going to be special — actually holding Victor Trumper's bat and standing before Don Bradman's sweat-stained baggy green cap is about as close as you can get to touching the game's history with your own hands. From there, we were taken through the ground's remarkable story, dating back to its origins as a military drill ground in the 1850s, all the way through to the modern-day stadium it is today. Walking out onto the hallowed turf itself, taking in the full grandeur and scale of the stands, was a genuinely goosebump moment. The behind-the-scenes access was outstanding — the largely unchanged historic change rooms, the commentators' box, and the view from the very top of the stands all gave us a real sense of the SCG's layers of history, on and off the field. But the absolute standout of the day was our guide, Stuart. His knowledge was encyclopaedic, but it was his genuine, infectious passion for the game and the ground that made the tour unforgettable. You could tell this wasn't just a job for him — he's a true cricket connoisseur, and his enthusiasm made every stop on the tour come alive. If you or someone you love is a cricket fan, this tour is an absolute must — a side of Sydney's history that most visitors, and even locals, never get to see. Highly, highly recommend.
