Ontdek de ongelooflijke biodiversiteit van het Monteverde-nevelwoud tijdens deze begeleide natuurhistorische wandeling, ideaal voor reizigers die een van de meest fascinerende en biodiverse ecosystemen van Costa Rica willen verkennen. Onder begeleiding van een deskundige lokale natuurgids verkent u zorgvuldig geselecteerde paden in het biologische reservaat Monteverde Cloud Forest, dat wereldwijd bekendstaat om zijn buitengewone ecologische rijkdom. Tijdens de tour kunt u tropische vogels observeren, zoals toekans, kolibries en, met een beetje geluk, de beroemde prachtquetzal. Het is er ook mogelijk om insecten, amfibieën, reptielen en een indrukwekkende verscheidenheid aan planten te vinden, zoals orchideeën, bromelia's en reuzenvarens die kenmerkend zijn voor het nevelwoud. Dankzij de kennis van de gids en het gebruik van professionele optische apparatuur nemen de mogelijkheden om wilde dieren te observeren toe. He was very knowledgeable and patient! We did two Hikes with him and they both were great, you can do these with out a guide but it's more enjoyable to have someone like him to explain the history and origin of plant and animal species. he knew the park very well and knew exactly where to go to find certain animals.

Jose guided us. He is a knowledgeable and very likable guide. He facilitated easy check in at the reserve. We saw the elusive Quetzal sitting in a tree and got photos. I also saw one in flight in the distance but couldn’t get a photo. We were a little disappointed in the Reserve’s new policy limiting one trail per admission ticket.

beautiful experience the most beautiful park in Costa Rica well maintained not overly touristy and we were lucky enough to see the Quezal. We stayed a month in Costa Rica saw so many parks but only in Monteverde we saw so many birds.

We’ve done several night tours in Monteverde and this one was perfectly good. Our student guide was great (amazing English and knowledge) and the company accommodated our group at the last minute, which was much appreciated. The location itself was just Ok— it didn’t feel like true dense jungle, as they are reforesting farm land (a worthy endeavor!) so not sure if there was the same density of animals… we did see frogs and insects and (the highlight) a hairy porcupine. There are just so many amazing spots to choose from, so it’s easy to be choosy :)
Thank you.. You are probably talking about our Night Tour which takes place in a transitional forest (A less dense forest) In this type of forest it is easier to see through the forest at night..... Our day tours do take place in Cloud Forest, mostly primary forest (a denser forest)...Thank you for your comment and we are glad you liked it.
