Bezoek het voormalige naziconcentratiekamp Auschwitz-Birkenau, dat tegenwoordig een museum op de lijst met UNESCO-werelderfgoed is. Tijdens de ongeveer 6 tot 7-uur durende tour vanuit Krakau, leert u van uw gids meer over de geschiedenis van de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Op weg naar Auschwitz kunt u in de auto naar de korte documentaire 'De bevrijding van Auschwitz’ kijken. Ophalen/afzetten bij uw hotel inbegrepen.

Profiteer van het ophalen bij uw hotel of appartement in centrum van Krakau en reis naar het Staatsmuseum Auschwitz-Birkenau met privé-auto. Bekijk een documentaire over de bevrijding van de werkkampen en kom meer te weten over de verschrikkingen van de holocaust. Bij aankomst bij de beruchte concentratiekampen van het nazi-regime, neemt u een begeleide tour over de site in het Engels, Spaans of Italiaans. Reis terug naar de donkere dagen van de Tweede Wereldoorlog terwijl u de overblijfselen van de kazernes, spoorrails en gaskamers ziet die gebruikt werden om meer dan 1 miljoen joden uit te roeien. Gebruik van een gratis transfer om zowel het Auschwitz- en Birkenau-kamp te verkennen, die 3 kilometer uit elkaar liggen. - Aangezien het in Auschwitz Birkenau museum verplicht is om uw persoonlijke gegevens te bevestigen, bent u verplicht om uw paspoort of ID mee te nemen om te worden getoond bij de ingang van het museum. Vergeet het alsjeblieft niet, anders mag je het museum misschien niet in.
- Een bezoek aan Auschwitz-Birkenau kan traumatisch zijn; daarom wordt aanbevolen dat bezoekers minstens 14 jaar oud zijn
- In de kampen dienen bezoekers zich gepast en met respect te gedragen.
- Het is bezoekers over het algemeen toegestaan om foto's te nemen, met uitzondering van een paar duidelijk aangegeven locaties.
- De maximale afmetingen van uw handbagage zijn: 30 X 20 x 10 cm zijn. U kunt u grotere bagage in de auto achterlaten
- Let op: de kampen hebben voornamelijk onverharde paden, die mogelijk problematisch zijn voor rolstoelgebruikers
- Sommige plekken zijn niet toegankelijk voor grotere rolstoelen of kinderwagens. Voor het comfort van bezoekers met mobiliteitsproblemen, biedt het museum ter vervanging een rolstoel met een passend formaat aan, zodat u zich over het terrein en door de gebouwen kunt verplaatsen. Adam was a great advocate for the tour from the moment he picked us up from the hotel and made sure we were at the right location at the right time. He was very knowledgeable in the history of the concentration camps himself and showed us a video before going of what life was like for the prisoners. Mario then took us around both camps and executed it perfectly. I would highly recommend Krakow Direct for organising a tour again.

Wojtek did a great job! I was late but he was patient and got us there in time. Good driving. Very knowledgeable, told good stories. When we decided to leave after Auschwitz he was again flexible and toured the area outside of Birkenbau. Professional and kind. You can trust him!

Our driver Adam was fantastic, very friendly and helpful. When we arrived at Auschwitz early he was kind enough to show us a piece of the history which wasn’t included in the usual tour, he was very knowledgeable and I recommend him very highly.

Tour operator cancelled the tour less than 24h before, and obviously it's too late to find alternative tours to Auschwitz. No explanation was given

Matti picked us up on time, and explained everything to us answering any questions as and when required. He made sure we meet up with our guide again explaining as we went along. Nothing was too much hassle and he also pointed out some interesting points and recommended places we may want to visit. Having someone knowledgeable does help and we were great full for his help to make the experience what it was even though it was not off happier times.
