Malad State Park is een van de meest interessante en unieke parken in de staat Idaho en biedt verbluffende geologische kenmerken. Begin uw reis naar Malad Gorge State Park voor een prachtig uitzicht op 'Devil's Washbowl', een waterval van watervallen gecreëerd door vulkanische activiteit die eindigt met een spectaculaire cataract van 20 meter, allemaal gelegen in een 250 meter diepe kloof van 3,5 kilometer lang.
Hagerman, ID, staat bekend om zijn vismogelijkheden, warmwaterbronnen en schilderachtige, landelijke stad, en ligt in de Hagerman-vallei langs de Snake River. U kunt genieten van raften, kajakken, pontonboottochten en nog veel meer terwijl u "1.000 bronnen en watervallen" langs de Scenic Byway bekijkt.
Holesinsky Vineyard & Winery is een van de belangrijkste, door een familie beheerde en gecertificeerde biologische wijnmakerijen in Zuid-Idaho, bekend om hun Franse wijnbereidingstechnieken en veelzijdige smaken. Genesteld op een terrein van 80 hectare in het prachtige Buhl, ID, biedt deze charmante wijnmakerij enkele van de allerbeste wijnen van Idaho, met "druiven die alleen in Idaho worden geteeld en bij de vervaardiging ervan worden gebruikt."
Ontspan en geniet van een rit van 25 minuten langs de 1000 Springs Scenic Byway, waar u adembenemende watervallen zult zien en kunt genieten van de majestueuze vergezichten van Hagerman Valley. Dwaal door het prachtige landschap en steek de machtige Snake River over terwijl u geniet van het uitzicht op vredige meren en kalme beken.
De I. B. Perrine Memorial Bridge beslaat 450 meter over de Snake River Canyon en bevindt zich op een hoogte van 146 meter boven de Snake River. Het is de enige brug in de Verenigde Staten waar B.A.S.E. Springen is elke dag van het jaar legaal zonder vergunning en trekt springers van over de hele wereld naar de rails.
Op 8 september 1976 probeerde de beroemde waaghals Evel Knievel tijdens zijn laatste sprong over de Snake River te springen. Hoewel de sprong niet succesvol was (Evel landde op de bodem van de Snake River Canyon en werd veilig gered), is zijn springplank nog steeds zichtbaar vanaf de I.B. Perrine Memorial Bridge en bereikbaar via een verhard wandelpad langs de Snake River Canyon Rim of met de auto over een onverharde weg die je rechtstreeks naar de sprong brengt.

Beautiful landscape and views along the way. We stopped at a breathtaking gorge and the to the winery. This small family business is just the best. Wine was very good. Charcuterie is so good. I highly recommend this tour. Could have spent hours on this beautiful property. I will be back.

Our host Gabriele cut her tour guide teeth in the highly competitive Las Vegas market, before relocating to Twin Falls. She picked us up in a very comfortable, super clean and roomy SUV, and proceeded to take us on a pre-wine tasting tour of local natural features. Our first stop was the gorgeous Malad Gorge State Park, with its stunning rock face cliffs culminating in the river below. Gabriele, a consummate professional, provided commentary on the early settlers to the area, the native fauna and flora and a general history of the region. We returned to the vehicle traversing an old iron bridge spanning the gorge which permitted some tremendous photo ops. A pleasant drive through the scenic hilly backroads saw us arrive at Holesinsky Vineyard and Winery, for an outstanding wine testing session. For those of us of a teetotal persuasion, the winery has an outstanding bottled sparkling mineral water. Additionally for those who don't care for fermented grape juice, there is beer on tap. This is a must do experience for those visiting the region, and Big Green Adventures offers several variations on the day trip. Be sure and book well in advance, as she fills up spaces in her SUV quickly at high season.

My wife and I went on this tour and it was AMAZING. The vehicle was comfortable, the guide was knowledgeable about the area, and the sights were fantastic. We were lucky that the trees had started turning so we got to see lots of fall color, as we enjoyed some delicious Idaho wine. I would definitely do this again and I recommend it as a date.

Gabrielle is an amazing tour guide! I’ve been an Idahoan my whole life, but still learned interesting facts about Idaho. MALAD Gorge is a must see, beautiful waterfalls and incredible breathtaking views of the gorge! We took a scenic drive to Holesinsky’s Winery where we enjoyed wine tasting and the gorgeous property. This tour is great for locals, and for visiting family and friends from out of the area. You will not be disappointed!

Very impressed! My friends and I decided to take the tour as it came highly recommended. I’d noticed the Malad Gorge sign several times on my way to Boise and have had it on my list of things to check out for quite some time. Not only was it beautiful, but I learned so much from Gabrielle, our tour guide. She was so knowledgeable about the area and was so friendly. She made sure to get to know each person and tailored the tour to fit our group, which was a really nice touch. The hospitality at the winery was top notch and way more than I had expected. I am a very picky wine drinker and seldom find wines that I truly enjoy. I was pleasantly surprised to find 3 that I enjoyed and 1 that I LOVED enough to purchase a bottle to bring home. So yummy!
