Taj Mahal! Dit prachtige mausoleum werd gebouwd door keizer Shah Jahan in 1630 voor zijn geliefde vrouw.
Dit ongelooflijke bouwwerk werd in 1565 na Christus gebouwd door de grote Mogolkeizer Akbar. Het is een prachtig voorbeeld van Mughal architectuur.
Deze prachtige site is het eerste Mughal-gebouw dat volledig van marmer is gemaakt. Het is ook de eerste die pietra dura uitgebreid gebruikt. Plus, het is de eerste tombe gelegen direct aan de oevers van de prachtige rivier de Yamuna, die eerder was versierd met mooie pleziertuinen.

An exceptional and educational experience! I’ve been to India many times and this time I finally got to visit the Taj Mahal! My tour guide was extremely professional and very educated on the history of the Taj Mahal and the story telling was phenomenal! Very memorable trip!
