Ontdek Muscat tijdens een 4 uur durende tour van middag tot avond, te beginnen met een fotostop bij de iconische Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque. Bezoek het Royal Opera House en geniet van een fotomoment in Al Alam Palace. Verken de levendige Muttrah Souq voor lokale souvenirs en geniet van uitzicht op Muttrah Corniche. Eindig met een ontspannen stop bij Qurum Beach, genietend van de frisse zeebries en een prachtig uitzicht op de zonsondergang. De Grote Moskee is geopend voor bezoek van 8.00 tot 11.00 uur. Buiten deze uren maken we een fotostop waar onze gids uitleg geeft. Je hebt de mogelijkheid om foto’s en video’s te maken van de moskee van buitenaf terwijl je geniet van het prachtige avond uitzicht.
Het Royal Opera House is geopend van 8:30 tot 17:30 uur.Als je eerder begint met de tour, rond 14:00 of 15:00 uur, heb je tijd om het Opera House binnen te verkennen. Anders maken we een fotostop buiten met een informatieve uitleg van onze gids.
We maken ook een fotostop bij Qurum Beach, waar u kunt genieten van de verfrissende zeebries en prachtige foto's en video's van de serene kustlijn kunt maken. Geniet van de rustige sfeer voordat we verder gaan naar de volgende bestemming.
Verken Muttrah Souq, een van de oudste en meest levendige markten van Oman. Wandel door de smalle steegjes en winkel voor authentieke Omaanse souvenirs, handgemaakte ambachten, prachtige zilveren sieraden, goud, parfums, textiel en meer. Het is de perfecte plek om jezelf onder te dompelen in de lokale cultuur en unieke schatten te vinden om mee naar huis te nemen. Terwijl u daar bent, kunt u genieten van het schilderachtige uitzicht op Muttrah Corniche, waar u het jacht van de Sultan Qaboos en cruiseschepen kunt spotten die langs de waterkant zijn aangemeerd.
Bezoek Al Alam Palace, een van de meest iconische bezienswaardigheden in Oman, bekend om zijn prachtige architectuur en rijke geschiedenis. Hoewel het paleis zelf niet toegankelijk is voor het publiek, kunt u foto's en video's maken van de indrukwekkende buitenkant, omgeven door prachtig aangelegde tuinen en een prachtig uitzicht op de nabijgelegen kustlijn. Dit majestueuze paleis is een symbool van het koninklijke erfgoed van Oman en een perfecte plek om de schoonheid van het gebied vast te leggen.
Fotostop van Al Mirani en Al Jilali Al Mirani en Al Jalali zijn historische forten in Muscat, Oman, gebouwd door de Portugezen in de 16e eeuw. Ze liggen aan weerszijden van Muscat Bay en werden gebouwd om de stad te beschermen tegen maritieme bedreigingen. Fort Al Mirani beschikt over ronde torens en kijkt uit over de haven. Fort Al Jalali, met zijn vierkante structuur, ligt op een rotsachtige uitloper. Beide forten zijn iconische symbolen van het erfgoed van Oman en bieden een prachtig uitzicht op de kustlijn, hoewel ze over het algemeen niet open zijn voor het publiek.

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
Voor het ophalen van het hotel wacht onze gids op de klant in de lobby van het hotel. Bij aankomst op de luchthaven staat onze gids bij de aankomsthal met een uithangbord met de naam van de klant. Voor het ophalen van de haven wacht onze gids bij Port Main Gate 1, ook met een uithangbord met de naam van de klant. Voor andere ophaallocaties nemen we contact op met de klant via WhatsApp voordat de tour begint om het ontmoetingspunt af te stemmen.

It was okay. Many places were closed during the time we were able to take the tour. But the tour guide did his best to keep us entertained.

My wife and I wanted a guided tour that provided an overview of the city of Muscat, the capital of Oman. We selected Sunshine Tours and were attracted by the reviews of tours guided by Mohammed Aljabri. We were not disappointed! Mohammed delivered everything we wanted and more! For starters Mohammed is a very friendly, intelligent and personable guy. He clearly loves his wonderful country and enthusiastically gave us a first class primer on the country of Oman, its capital, people, customs and history. We visited all of the major locations in Muscat over a tour approaching five hours and even a small museum in ‘old Muscat’ that gave us further insight into this fascinating country. Whilst Mohammed has an itinerary for the tour, he is also keen to understand what you want from it and will adapt your time together as appropriate. We plan to visit Oman on holiday again in the future and Mohammed has inspired us to look further into the history and culture of the country and to travel further into the regions outside of the capital.

The mosque is breathtaking, we enjoyed every part of our tour and our guide Faisal was amazing, he was very hospitable and we even went a few hours over the time. 10/10 I would recommend, it’s worth it and a must do if visiting. Our guide was so good we booked two more days of activities with his company and requested he be our guide again. The owner worked on it making it happen for us and spent 3+ hours moving things around to accommodate us.
