Vaar naar de magische Cataract Gorge en door het rivierfront van Launceston. Rijd noordwaarts langs Tamar Island, historische gebouwen; kerken, pubs en belangrijke huizen. Proef de rijke diversiteit van het leven terwijl we langs schilderachtige riviergemeenschappen, wijngaarden en boerderijen varen, naar de opmerkelijke Batman-brug. De Tamar Valley is doordrenkt met romantiek en bezaaid met bushrangers, ontdekkingsreizigers en verhalen over goudzoekers. De langste bevaarbare estuariene rivier van Australië heeft veel natuurlijke baaien en beschermde inhammen bieden heiligdom voor duizenden inheemse watervogels die alleen op de rivier te zien zijn.

Dit is een cruise van 4 uur die op woensdag en zaterdag om 10.00 uur vertrekt. Werkt van 1 september tot 31 mei op de voor alle weersomstandigheden, de Tamar Odyssey. Inbegrepen in de cruise is ochtendthee (Muffins Fruitcake en Zoete koekjes), lichte lunch, Tasmaanse kaas en fruitschotel, kleine Tasmaanse bier- en wijnproeverij, onbeperkte thee en koffie en commentaar tijdens de cruise. (Gelieve te informeren over eventuele speciale dieetwensen op het moment van boeking) Gasten moeten uiterlijk om 9.30 uur aankomen bij de Home Point Cruise-terminal voor een instappen om 09.45 uur. Deze cruise is toegankelijk voor rolstoelgebruikers. Deze cruise omvat zeilen in de magische Cataract Gorge.

Very enjoyable cruise ! Commentary was great and there was morning tea and lunch provided . The lunch was a lovely selection of fresh wraps, focaccias and rolls , with fruit and cheese to follow . Also a wine and beer tasting on board .
A really interesting cruise starting in the Cataract Gorge then into the Tamar River and back. Skipper was Callum, providing a running commentary on the geography and history of the area, identification of bird life on the river, including the rare sea eagle. Morning tea was substantial, with tea and coffee, muffins and fruit cake. Lunch was just as substantial, with wraps and rolls containing various fillings, then a fruit and cheese platter. A wine tasting of local Tasmanian wines and beers was ably served by William. Tea and coffee was available at all times. This cruise was a great introduction to Launceston and its marvellous geography.

It’s an excellent and relaxing way to spend four hours in the care of a helpful, courteous and informative crew. We learned a lot about the colourful history of Launceston and the surrounding area of the Tamar river while enjoying some wine-tasting and a light lunch. It was good value for money and we would definitely recommend it for tourists and visitors to Launceston.

We had a wonderful time on the Batman Bridge 4 Hour Luncheon Cruise, including sailing into the beautiful Cataract Gorge. It was such a relaxing day on the water and a perfect way to see the scenery from a different perspective. The captain’s commentary was informative and entertaining, adding so much to the experience. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it — we certainly didn’t leave hungry! Highly recommended for anyone wanting a laid-back and enjoyable cruise.
