Wandel over de rijstterrassen met je gids wiens familie direct bij de rijstterrassen woont. Met diepe connecties met de inwoners van Batad, Banaue, krijg je diepgaande kennis over het leven en de geschiedenis van deze geweldige historische plek. Ontmoet enkele boeren en ambachtelijke rijstwijnmakers en kijk hoe de boeren schepels rijst met de hand verwerken tot kant-en-klare rijst en gereedschap dat ze van hun voorouders hebben geërfd. Wandel zo lang als je wilt (1-5 uur), of zo kort en ontspannen als je wilt. Adem de zoete geur van de rijstvelden in, zoals iemand beweerde: "Het ruikt naar vers gestoomde rijst."

Miller is pretty funny and knowledegable. We got a car for my grandparents bc they have mobility issues. He took his time and was rly patient with them. Had to pay extra for the car of course, since most visitora probably plan on hiking or using a trike insread.

Miller was a fantastic hilarious guide who was very knowledgeable and patient, we had the best time with him and would highly recommend his tour! He showed us the best spots to get photos, souvenirs and even swimsuits that we were needing for the waterfall that we forgot to bring. He is super flexible and caters the day to your needs, making us feel comfortable and in safe hands. He was played guitar to us at lunch, which was so sweet, and welcomed us into his home, showing us how they as a family prepare rice. He is the best tour guide and banaue and had dreams of seeing New York one day so please support his dream!

Miller is an absolute gem of a guide! He organized a beautiful, flawless 2-day tour of Banaue and Batad for our family. The hike was definitely tiring with our 2-year-old kid in the carrier, but the views were absolutely beautiful and incredibly rewarding.Miller perfectly customized the route to make it manageable for us. This is one of the most breathtaking destinations in Luzon. A guided tour here feels like stepping into a different world. A local guide will take you through steep stone paths surrounded by ancient rice terraces shaped like a natural amphitheater. The view from the top is already stunning, but the real adventure starts when you trek down to the valley. The walk can be tiring because of the long stairs and uneven trails, but it is worth it once you reach the peaceful village and see the famous Tappiya Falls nearby. The sound of water, fresh air, and quiet surroundings make the experience very relaxing. The guide also shares stories about the Ifugao culture, making the tour more meaningful, not just sightseeing.

We hire Miller as our guide for Banaue Rice Terraces. I told him places that we wanna see and he already correct us that this will be not one but two days trip and he was totally right. He perfectly knows the area, all junctions, shortcuts and take care of everything. Like when we should eat, what to bring, where to sleep (best hotel in village) etc. In whole trip we were safe, tempo was adjusted to us, we hear a lot of great stories and we had a lot of fun with Miller all time. We saw all places we want and also he adjusted on the fly whole trip eg staying longer at one point and shorter in other as we requested. He even gave us possibility to plant rice and experience that! In the start and the end we used his tricycle to get there and believe me you don't want to go there by your own, too long distance. Also contact with him is very good. We would definetely recommend Miller as your guide! <3

Miller provided a friendly, flexible and personable experience. Our tour was from 10am-6pm. We paid 3,500p for a private van from Batad to the terraces, in addition for a ride back. The terrace steps were steep but beyond worth it. Would highly recommend booking with him. We all loved the tour.

It was an incredible experience and we are so blessed that Miller himself is part of the indigenous community which brought us lots of cultural insight. The views were beautiful and the people at the home stay are so kind. I definitely recommend this tour especially if you are able-bodied and looking for something to do in the north of the Philippines. My parents did it with me at almost 60-years-old so it’s challenging but absolutely doable and worthwhile. When else are you going to get a local so connected to the land to take you on an awesome tour like this?! Thank you Miller for the experience. Impressive landscape and a very friendly people. Making the rails is not for everyone, it requires some physical preparation.
