I bought a ticket on this tour at the last minute. Viator's website said that you can pick up the tour at multiple points so I went to a location (which was wrong). The tour operator had different directions starting from a specific point but only listed on the ticket. So, I obviously missed the tour and they did not allow a refund. Just beware and triangulate your sources. In my view, it's Viator's error but they will only issue a refund if the tour operator offers it.
The driver drove fast, and didn't slow for any of the main sites! the connections are old, and our ear pieces wouldn't stay connected, that's if it worked at all!
This tour will drive you ALL over Basel and you’ll see and get to learn about a LOT of Basel history. You’ll need the app or get headphones when you enter the bus and listen to the info as you drive - it automatically updates to each new location and is very informative. The bus is hot in summer, and it is really more or less two hours inside a bus, but it was a great way for us to see some sights of Basel in the short time we had in the city.
This is an excellent way to see the best sites in Basel. The tour is leisurely with a couple of stops for photos and stretching your legs. The commentary was very well in sync and easy to hear. The driver was excellent and fixed a problem with commentary player, and did not rush the people at stops. Overall a great experience and well worth it with the Basel card discount.
Do not use unless you speak German the company is no help what so ever no one answers and if you don’t speak their language they can’t help you
Hi Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with this incident. We answer all questions in German and English. The audio guide is available in 8 languages. Perhaps the problem is with Viator support? If so, you can also purchase a ticket on the bus.
Great way to get an overview of the city. Plenty of time for photos. This is not a hop on hop off. Also dont mix this up with the walking city tour.
Very informative and thorough audio tour. The only negative was that the windows were too dirty to take photos.
Excellent clean & cool city, very serene, kindly do not miss this comfy tour, only 1 hour by train from Zurich HB Central Railway Station. It's a tri-juncture of Switzerland, France & Germany, don't miss, it's an absolute must, excellent surroundings.
Great 2 hour tour of the city. Would highly recommend to get a good layout and overview history of Basel.
A definite must to see around Basel. It was an audio tour which was perfect. Very informative . A tip if you book this tour be sure to board at the first stop as the bus is full and unable to board any passengers any stops
