Bari kookcursus: traditionele focaccia en orecchiette
Beschrijving
Bereid je voor op een authentieke ervaring in het hart van Bari, op een geheime plek die de ware geest van de Apulische keuken in zich draagt. In het gezelschap van een lokale gids ga je aan de slag met het deeg om twee symbolen van traditie te bereiden: focaccia barese, de koningin van het straatvoedsel, zacht en knapperig met sappige kerstomaatjes, die zelfs de focaccia genovese heeft verslagen in een wedstrijd tot de laatste hap, en handgemaakte orecchiette, bereid volgens de oude techniek van Bari, door de New York Times geroemd als te beschermen erfgoed. Na de les gaan we aan tafel om samen te genieten van de vruchten van onze arbeid, vergezeld van een goede lokale wijn en verhalen die naar traditie ruiken. Een intieme, boeiende en oprechte ervaring, ontworpen voor degenen die de ware ziel van Bari willen ontdekken via de keuken.

We had a great experience in a small group learning how to make focaccia & pasta the authentic Bari way. Although the cook couldn't speak English her neice interpreted & between them they were a great team & made it fun. Food was yummy & we left with full, happy bellies!
We had a wonderful experience at the focaccia and pasta-making workshop, guided by Silvia and Marica. Both were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the whole experience had a lovely multicultural atmosphere. Silvia was especially warm and engaging. She made sure everyone was involved, kept the conversation going, and helped participants from different countries — Brazil, the Netherlands, and Romania — get to know each other and connect. Marica took great care to make sure that all the dishes turned out perfectly and was always there to help. The workshop was relaxed, fun, and very enjoyable. It was also a great experience for children, especially those making pasta and focaccia with their own hands for the first time. A lovely way to discover Italian food and culture while meeting people from around the world. Highly recommended! A big thank you for Silvia & Marica, hope to see you again :)!

Mariella was also excellent and absolutely top-notch professionally – she was able to explain perfectly and clearly how we can make traditional Italian focaccia and orecchiette ourselves.
