- Als je Port Olímpic binnenkomt vanaf Calle Marina, tussen de twee hoge gebouwen, zie je op de hoek een trap met planten. Ga de trap af en houd de betonnen muur/winkels aan je rechterkant en de jachten links. Het ontmoetingspunt is op zeeniveau, op nummer 10. De makkelijkste manier is met Google Maps.
Beschrijving
Doe mee aan een prachtige zeiltocht van 2 uur bij zonsondergang voor de kust van Barcelona met een zeer kleine groep op een moderne zeilboot. Geniet van de unieke ervaring van zeilen als het langzaam donker wordt en de zon alles rood kleurt. Geniet van een frisse bries, gratis drankje en kleine snack, terwijl je de skyline van Barcelona in je opneemt. Begeleid door interessante mensen van over de hele wereld en je persoonlijke schipper, stop voor een korte duik en als je geluk hebt, spot je dolfijnen en walvissen. Van april tot oktober start de sensationele zonsondergangtour om 19.00 uur. De rest van het jaar zal de tour eerder beginnen aangezien de zon ook vroeger ondergaat. Port Olimpic
Het staat tegenover de wijk Vila Olímpica en werd in 1990 gebouwd tijdens de herontwikkeling van dit deel van Barcelona. De jachthaven is ontworpen door de architecten Oriol Bohigas, Josep Martorell, David Mackay en Albert Puigdomènech. De stad had behoefte aan een sportjachthaven die aan strenge normen zou voldoen, en het was de locatie van de zeilwedstrijden tijdens de Olympische Spelen van 1992. De jachthaven heeft 756 ligplaatsen voor jachten en de ingang is overal in Barcelona zichtbaar. De twee wolkenkrabbers aan weerszijden zijn de Mapfre Tower en Hotel Arts, met aan de basis het spectaculaire goudvisbeeld van Frank Gehry, en vlakbij het Gran Casino de Barcelona. Liefhebbers van watersport kunnen hier gaan zeilen of andere soorten zeiltechnieken beoefenen, en in de zomer zijn de stranden aan weerszijden van de jachthaven – Somorrostro en Nova Icària – de perfecte plek om te zonnebaden of voor een verkoelende duik in de zee.
Gold Fish Sculpture (Escultura el Peix d'Or)
Het Visbeeld van architect Frank Gehry, die in 1989 de Pritzker Prize won, is uitgegroeid tot een van de symbolen van het postolympische Barcelona en ziet eruit alsof het op de wateren van de Middellandse Zee dobbert. Het zonlicht wordt weerspiegeld in de schubben van dit beeldhouwwerk dat uitkijkt over de waterkant van de Olympische Jachthaven en de stranden van Barcelona. In 1992 transformeerde het ongerepte Olympische Barcelona de kust. Een nieuwe Olympische jachthaven kreeg vorm, voorgezeten door de tweelingtorens. Aan de ene kant stond de Mapfre-toren; aan de andere kant was het Hotel Arts. Frank Gehry plaatste zijn vissculptuur aan de voet van het hotel. Het dier is 56 meter lang en 35 meter hoog en lijkt ernaar te verlangen om in het blauwe water van de Middellandse Zee te springen.
Port Vell (Old Port)
Port Vell, letterlijk in het Engels "Oude Haven" is een haven aan het water in Barcelona, Catalonië, Spanje, en onderdeel van de haven van Barcelona. Het werd gebouwd als onderdeel van een stadsvernieuwingsprogramma voorafgaand aan de Olympische Spelen van 1992 in Barcelona. Voordien was het een vervallen gebied met leegstaande pakhuizen, spoorwegemplacementen en fabrieken. Jaarlijks bezoeken 16 miljoen mensen het complex Het is nu een centraal punt van de stad en een toeristische attractie, met daarin de Maremàgnum (een winkelcentrum met winkels, een multiplexbioscoop, bars en restaurants), IMAX Port Vell en het grootste aquarium van Europa met 8000 vissen en 11 haaien in 22 bassins gevuld met water. zes miljoen liter zeewater. Een voetgangerspad, Rambla de Mar, verbindt La Rambla met Port Vell. Het bevat een draaibrug, zodat schepen de haven kunnen binnenkomen en verlaten

Sunset cruise
Eduardo was 10/10 and the experience was so fun! We had a great time and it was so fun to see the city from the sea. We also went when there was a full moon, which added to the experience. Highly recommend!

Fantastic Sunset Cruise
We went on a sunset cruise with Marie, and it was a wonderful experience. 2 hours is a perfect trip time around the Barcelona harbor and we loved the small group experience. We highly recommend this sailing company!

Fabulous cruise not to be missed
Fabulous from start to finish, Eduardo was the best skipper ever, we had a wonderful cruise and couldn’t have asked for more. We learnt more history, saw super yachts up close, had many beautiful photo opportunities and enjoyed great snacks and drinks. We highly recommend this trip and will do it again when we visit next year.

Great experience you must try
We had such a wonderful time on the Barcelona Sunset Tour! The views were absolutely beautiful, and the drinks and snacks were great. Eduardo was our crew member and he was amazing—so friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience so much fun. Watching the sunset from the water was one of the highlights of our time in Barcelona. Highly recommend!
