Van het bescheiden begin 2000 jaar geleden als een onschadelijke vissershaven tot de moderne internationale status, verken de groei van de stad van Romeinse consolidatie, vervolging van christenen en joden, keizerlijke expansie, industriële explosie, politieke identiteit, artistieke bloei. geesten van gemartelde christenen, iconische schilders, oorlogsstrijders, religieuze legendes, gloriejagende koningen, middeleeuwse beulen en nog veel meer, die allemaal een cultureel en fysiek stempel hebben gedrukt op de winderige, dichtbevolkte straten van dit, het oudste deel van Barcelona . Een native Engelssprekende gids die 13 jaar in de stad woont, met een Spaanse vrouw met veel oude Barcelona-vrienden, ik heb veel informatie uit de eerste hand over wat er in de Catalaanse mensen ligt, hoe ze "tikken", en meer belangrijk, waarom! This was a great tour if you want to get an up close and personal view of Barcelona’s old city. Patrick Taggart was a great guide as he had institutional knowledge of the Gothic Quarter and surrounding areas. He was personable and very knowledgeable.
