Spring op onze shuttle naar Savvy on the Bay en stap met gemak aan boord van ons schip Tranquility en ga mee op ons 1,5 uur durende Turtle & Shipwreck avontuur in Carlisle Bay. Carlisle Bay beschikt over kalme turquoise wateren kabbelend op het zachte witte zand. Onder de oppervlakte van de zee komt Carlisle Bay tot leven met levendige tropische vissen in overvloed, zeepaardjes, zeeschildpadden, octopussen, roggen en nog veel meer! Dit unieke scala aan onderwaterleven is deels te danken aan de zes verschillende scheepswrakken in het water zo ondiep als 12ft. Na de snorkelexcursie brengen we u naar Savvy on the Bay aan Carlisle Bay waar u wordt voorzien van een strandstoel, parasol en een welkomstdrankje. Geniet van de zee, of lig op uw strandstoel en geniet van de zon. Lunch is niet inbegrepen het is verkrijgbaar bij een van de foodtrucks op Savvy On The Bays zeer populaire foodtruckpark. Ga met ons mee aan boord van Tranquility Cruises. De boot heeft 2 toiletten aan boord, een bar en een boven- en benedendek met veel zitplaatsen. Er is een glazen bodem voor degenen die liever aan boord blijven en genieten van de bezienswaardigheden hieronder. Tranquility is ook uitgerust met zwemvest, snorkel en masker voor degenen die nat willen worden en een scheepswrak willen verkennen of willen zwemmen met schildpadden en vissen. Een extra traktatie voor kinderen aan boord is de waterglijbaan van de boot. Onze schildpad- en scheepswrakcruise duurt 90 minuten. De cruise vertrekt vanuit Carlisle Bay. Instructies voor de cruisehaven Omdat de Barbados-pier wordt gebruikt voor zowel cruiseschepen als vracht, neemt u hoogstwaarschijnlijk een shuttlebus naar de cruiseterminal. Bij het verlaten van de terminal komt u aan bij de vertrekhal van de gate. Onze Excursies vertrekken vanaf Gate 1. Een vertegenwoordiger van Beautiful Barbados Tours & Excursions zal u in dit gebied ontmoeten. Hij of zij zal een bord met Beautiful Barbados Tours & Excursions vasthouden en u naar uw tourwagen leiden. We kunnen niet genoeg benadrukken hoe belangrijk het is om op tijd te zijn voor alle reizen. Voor spoedgevallen kunt u contact met ons opnemen. Hotelinstructies. The activity was great. The only bad part was the shuttle ride to get there. The driver took extra long time to wait to fill up the hot and cramped tram and people started to hauler at him to get going because it was so hot in there. We were packed like sardines. It was a much better ride back to the pier in a bigger shuttle bus with air conditioning.
They advertise a glass bottom boat...this is bs...not true at all...Also they say you will swim with the turtles...they take you out to choppy waters and you will be lucky if you see one turtle...lastly get ready to be treated like a number not a tourist...absolutely horrible...shame on this operator for false advertising...tried to contact Viator to get my money refunded for this tour, they told me I would and they lied to me...thank god I won my visa dispute and got every penny back...DO NOT GO ON THIS TOUR OVERRATED AND IT SUCKS
Well organised. Great experince. Fully recommend it. We did this a couple of years ago and the experiece was even better this time.
We had a good time and saw lots of fish and some turtles. Drawback is that it was too crowded with multiple tour agancies looking at the same shipwreck. The description mentions multiple areas to view and we expected to take the boat to multiple stops but you just swim in the same small area. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Pick up at the cruise port was easy. We drove a short distance to the beach where we were given clear instructions for how the day would progress. Beach area was beautiful with plenty of chairs and umbrellas. We boarded the boat right from the beach which was pretty easy. We went out about 100 yrds from shore and were given instructions on the snorkle gear. We were able to see 2 ship wrecks as well as a turtle. My only complaint was that there were numerous other boats in the area and that we did not go very far from land. It was crowded when we were looking at the turtle. I would have preferred a smaller group, but that is my preference and not a negative for this tour. I would recommend this tour if you are looking for a nice beach day with the added snorkeling.
A great way to spend half a day! The bus was waiting on us at the cruise port and took us straight to the beach with the AC blasting. We had about 45 mins to chill at the beach before we had to meet up to get to the boat. We were on the boat for about an hour, hour and a half. We got in the water at 2 separate places. Then, when we got back to the beach, we had about 2 hours to kill until it was time to go back to the cruise terminal. There are many different food trucks offering food and drinks. Highly recommend. FYI, if you want to eat, plan on it taking about 30+ mins to make your food and plan accordingly.
Very well organised. Collected us and other passengers from the cruise port and took us to Savvy on the Beach. Fantastic beach with reserved sun loungers and delicious free rum punch. The snorkel trip was great fun and the team were very patient and encouraging to any nervous passengers including a couple of small children. We all had a great fun time and can’t wait to do it again when we return in 2028. We will be back!! Thank you team x
The white sandy beach was beautiful however the water was very murky. The visibility to see the turtles was very poor. We saw 5 turtles, but we could only see 1 of them well. The shipwreck was ok and there were quite a few fish in this area.
Areally good way of enjoying beach time at Carlisle Bay with cruise port transfers. The boat trip to snorkel and hopefully see turtles was excellent. Savvy on the Bay is a really nice spot on the beach. We have used Beautiful Barbados before and can highly recommend their tours.
Have booked this tour several times in the past and recommended it to many fellow cruisers. However today's trip was very disappointing. Far too many sun loungers crammed together making access very difficult and no personal space whatsoever. Cruise was very poor. Usually go all way along coast to Hilton Hotel but only went out to wreck. Saw no turtles and my mask failed which led to me seeing nothing. I reported it immediately but no one replaced the mask until the session was basically over. When returning to shore without cruising along coast, I questioned the Captain as to why the whole trip was not fulfilled to be told too much time had been spent looking for turtles. I made a complaint before leaving the beach and the driver was asked to take my details on returning to the Cruise Port but he refused to on arrival! I felt very much that I had not received what I had paid for!! Sadly I will not be booking or recommending this trip again.
I am sorry that you were not satisfied with the tour. We regularly get compliments on our gear. In addition the other cruises offered at the bay are 40 minutes and ours is 80. There are even those that sell on this same platform for 60 minutes and cut to 35 or 40 when it is busy but we NEVER do this. We stick to the same length. The tour does not describe going to the Hilton so this should not have been expected.
