You have to do this if you’re in Bangkok. Joyce and her family are so so beautiful, and the class is extremely well organised and run, with insight into thai ingredients and culture, fresh ingredients from the market, and a fun friendly atmosphere. You get so much food, so don’t eat before! And free bottled water, music on, lovely chats. It really felt like Joyce let us into her family, and we left with full tummies and so much cooking knowledge. Definitely going to make these dishes when I get home . Extremely good value for money, and an experience to remember. Thank you❤️

Amazing❤️ very friendly hosts, air conditioning! We all got to cook every dish and adjust to our own taste. They also cater for vegetarians. Lots of food so you do not need to eat for the rest of the day. Very authentic experience, away from the tourist area of Bangkok. We visited the big golden Buddha after instead of the market. A great experience, highly recommend!

Me and my bf had an amazing time and will definitely recommend to anyone visiting Thailand! Joyce made us feel right at home and taught us so much about classic Thai recipes!! I was smiling the whole time from having such a great time 😊💞 The mango sticky rice was a prefect way to end it!! Also this location is close to a Buddha temple so such a perfect location.

Amazing experience all round, nice look around the beautiful temples and visit to Big Buddha. Cooking class was really fun, learnt how to make some amazing Thai dishes which I will certainly be trying at home. It was truly one of the best travel experiences I've ever had. If you're looking for a real experience where you truly learn to cook dishes from scratch, please book this class. This isn't meant to entertain tourists; it's designed to genuinely teach you how to cook four delicious Thai dishes. Joyce was the best chef in the world! She taught us patiently, and we laughed a lot in a very relaxed atmosphere. It's amazing how well-organized and smooth everything is. These people truly deserve more recognition. This was an experience I will treasure forever. Joyce you are a such a wonderful human and a fabulous cook. As soon as I arrived I was greeted with the natural warmth and charm that is Joyce to her soul. Refreshments were offered and I was then shown the upstairs cooking area that was immaculate and very well organised . Joyce has remarkable english speaking skills so conversation was effortless and fun. I was taught authentic Thai dishes of Tom Yum Soup, Pad Thai, Green Curry and Mango Sticky Rice. Every dish had fresh ingredients ready for me to cut up and even pummel in a mortar and pestle. Such fun! Joyces knowledge of the why and how to use such ingredients was incredible and very informative. I loved the wok used so much that Joyce, the great gal she is, after the class actually walked me to the market and vendor that she bought her wok from. And yes - the wok came back to Australia with me !! At the end of making each dish, Joyce would set up a little dining area and as I enjoyed my creation, Whitney Houston would be singing in the background. Such great memories. This session would be fabulous for a family, group, couple - or like me a solo trip - which my husband organised for me. Such a great day in a really authentic Thai family neighbourhood - school kids, schools, parks, a canal and mum/dad shops - and of course the 7/11!! Incredible experience i was on the only person in the class so had a private cooking lesson. Joyce was lovely and super friendly. I had so much fun. She put on music and let me pick songs. I made a variety of dishes including, mango sticky rice, Thai green curry, pad Thai and Tom Yum soup. She taught me all about the herbs, spices and vegetables that we used to cook with. All the ingredients are freshly bought. If you book directly on her website Mahankorn thai cooking class you can get a discounted price compared to get your guide. Also she does different meals based on the day so take a look at her website to see what day suits your appetite best. She caters for vegan and vegetarian people to if you let her know in advance. I would highly recommend to others it’s also a 2 min walk from the Wat Paknam Phasi Charoen and the hidden Bangkok bistro. Making it very convient if you have a short time in Bangkok.
