Offroad-excursie in 4x4-voertuigen, waarmee u toegang krijgt tot de hoogste punten van de stad, en zo een ongelooflijk panoramisch uitzicht krijgt op El Calafate en het meer van Argentino. Twee dagelijkse vertrekken: 10.00 uur met lunch of 14.30 uur met snack Halve dag excursie.

De excursie begint met het ophalen bij de hotels en gaat verder met het voertuig naar de Huyliche-heuvel, 35 kilometer omhoog op de heuvellijn achter het dorp. Vanaf daar brengt de 4WD je tot 900 meter naar een duizendjarige geografie en de beste hoeken van Huylliche Hill. Vanaf daar kom je bij een spectaculair uitkijkpunt, waar je de stad El Calafate en het grootste deel van het Argentijnse meer ziet, omringd door de mystieke Patagonische steppe. Je vindt er een grote hoeveelheid fossielen en als het een heldere dag is, kun je de Fit Roy Mount observeren; Bovendien kun je Andescondors heel dicht bij je zien. Het perspectief vanaf daar is onvergetelijk en je zult het Andesgebergte zien, de ingang van de noordelijke tak van het Argentijnse meer, en een gletsjerlandschap ontdekken. De 4WD gaat verder tot 1060 meter, waar zich het labyrint van krijtachtige rotsen bevindt met kleine fossielen ingebed in de muren.
Daarna gaan we naar ons toevluchtsoord gelegen op een strategische plek beschut tegen de wind, een typisch berghut waar we een snack of lunch aanbieden (afhankelijk van de gekozen optie). Je komt aan in de stad El Calafate na drie uur van een geweldige geologische en avontuurlijke ervaring.

Tourschema: van 10.00 uur tot 13.30 uur met lunch of van 14.30 tot 17.30 uur met snack (de duur en het schema van de excursie zijn bij benadering en kunnen variëren afhankelijk van het seizoen van het jaar). Vergeet niet om in uw reservering de naam van het hotel waar u in El Calafate verblijft te vermelden, zodat u op de dag van de excursie wordt opgehaald. De exacte ophaaltijd van je hotel wordt de dag voor de excursie bevestigd, waarbij je een bericht voor je achterlaat in je hotel of we nemen contact met je op via het contactnummer dat je hebt opgegeven als je dat hebt gedaan.

Great walk. Panoramic view of the city. We saw the vegetation from close. The included lunch was perfect. We did with Patagonia Extreme. The guides Ezekiel and Jeremiah were great.

South Road within the Calafate area seem to supply the best trucks and vehicles. 4WD arrived right on time at my hotel and tour guide was Ruben. English was not perfect but good enough for conversations. He knew the private property and provided a greatv in-depth knowledge of the rock formations and glacial activity. Be warned .. bumpy tracks but that is 4WD driving. Stunning views at the top of the mountain of Calafate and the lakes. Weather was changeable and it did rain for a whole. Then back to the centre for a delicious lunch. I would really recommend this trip to anyone.

This was a really fun experience to see sights that we wouldn't have otherwise been able to access. While I was a little nervous when we first started driving (lots of bumps--it's off roading, of course) the driver was amazing and I felt perfectly safe. Our guide was wonderful, too, and did a good job explaining about the history and geography despite the microphone not working for him. Lunch was delicious and and filling! I would recommend!

I loved this trip in a beast of a 4x4. So informative about the early days of El Calafate too. Views were breathtaking and the ‘snack’ was anything but a snack….. it was a FULL afternoon tea with cakes, beverages and more on the estancia where I got to see horses and a beautiful calf. Thanks to our guide and super professional driver! Highly recommend

Most excursions are full day trips in CALAFATE, but this was the perfect half day excursion. The views were spectacular. And our host was very personable.

Ruben, our guide, made this adventure so enjoyable. He truly loves all his guests. We had a fun trip up the mountain with great views of El Calafate, Lago Argentino, and the snow-covered Andes. Then he made us a tasty lunch before heading back down the mountain to our hotel. We highly recommend this tour.

We take the 4x4 excursion to Balconies of El Calafate, Cerro Huyliche and Concreciones ("Mexican Hats") directly through the Service Provider, the Mil Outdoor Patagonia Enterprise. Good walk of three hours duration, which in our case allowed us to take advantage of the afternoon of the day of arrival (also recommended to take advantage of the morning of the day of departure). Driver Guillermo was a good driver of the vehicle and a friendly guide who not only provided interesting data from this ride but also very useful information for other excursions in the area. In total the group was composed of seven adults and we had a good time. I would not recommend this walk for families with children, I think the creatures may find it somewhat heavy.

Beautiful experience! It was our second visit to El calafate and with this excursion we found it even more beautiful than the first time. The landscapes and views are unforgettable. The driver and guide was excellent, with lots of information about the area, which he spoke about with passion... and transmitted it. We totally recommend to take this walk with All patagonia, you will not regret it.
