Heb je er ooit van gedroomd om babyschildpadden in zee vrij te laten? Schildpadden komen het hele jaar door hun eieren leggen in en rond Puerto Escondido, maar zonder menselijke tussenkomst zullen slechts enkele van deze verbazingwekkende wezens overleven in de dagen nadat ze uitkomen. Neem deel aan het helpen van lokale organisaties om de schildpadden te behouden. We halen je 's middags op bij je hotel om voor zonsondergang op ons strand aan te komen. Daar neem je deel aan het vrijlaten van de babyschildpadden in hun natuurlijke omgeving. We brengen je terug naar je huis vol onvergetelijke herinneringen !!!

Bij Playa Bacocho, op slechts vier kilometer van de hoofdbaai, kun je een spannende activiteit doen die iedereen kan bewegen. Het gaat over het vrijlaten van pasgeboren schildpadden. Elke dag om vijf uur 's middags tijdens zonsondergang kunnen we de natuur steunen, als we aankomen in het kamp wordt alles met betrekking tot de bevrijding uitgelegd, ze geven ons de schildpad slechts 30 minuten nadat hij is uitgekomen, ze lenen je een kalebas ermee erin en je ga naar het strand naar de finishlijn waar je hem los kunt laten en ze zal zelf naar de zee moeten lopen .. Hier is inbegrepen de tijd die nodig is om vanaf de hotels van de passagiers naar het gebied te gaan waar we de activiteit zullen uitvoeren.

It was a great experience. We learned about the 4 species of turtles that the group releases. The turtles we released were dolphin turtles, which were the most common type in this part of the pacific ocean. This is a chill and relaxing activity. Pretty cool playing a part in releasing the turtles into their natural habitat. Staff was also vigilent to assit with keeping the birds away so that the process was a sucess. Great experience seeing the turtles race to the water. Very important to regulate the care to maintain the different species. A good informative talk before the release and how they patrol the night each evening. A 27km beach that was amazing. We chose an English presentation but Spanish also available. The van trip was a bit longer than expected since we waited for some people for over 15 minutes. Extremely inconsiderate on their part… nothing to do with the tour.

I had the opportunity to do this turtle release tour in Puerto Escondido and it was a beautiful experience. We arrived at the beach in the evening, explained the process and then each released some turtles to the sea. It was very emotional and special.. It is ideal to do it with your partner!!
