Verken in een volledige dag met de beste besparingsprijs voor dit tourkaartje, de archeologische site van Sidon, Maghdoucheh & Tyre, je vermijdt de drukte en elimineert de onhandigheid van het delen van een grote tourbus die je meer tijd geeft om te zien. Bovendien bent u vrij om een aangepaste route te maken, rekening houdend met het tourschema. Je zult de hoogtepunten verkennen zoals het kruisvaarderszeekasteel, de oude souk van Sidon, het Zeepmuseum, de grote Al-Omari-moskee, Onze-Lieve-Vrouw van Wachten op, Grot, Romeins Hippodroom en meer.

Vanuit uw hotel in Beiroet, met een glimlach, wordt u 's ochtends om 8.15 uur opgehaald voor een dagtour. Reizigers zullen de oude Fenicische stad Sidon verkennen, die van grote religieuze, politieke en commerciële waarde is geweest voor de regio, waarvan beweerd wordt dat het bewoond is sinds 4000 voor Christus. Ons eerste bezoek in Sidon is aan het Crusaders Sea Castle.
Daarna en tussen het Zeekasteel en het Landkasteel ("St. Louis" -kasteel) strekken zich oude Souks (markten) uit die hun prachtige gebouwen en commerciële functie hebben behouden. In de buurt wordt een reparatieproces waargenomen, evenals kleine ambachtswinkels. In de oude Souk zijn er gewelfde steegjes die 14 kilometer lang zijn en niet ver van het Zeekasteel ligt de pittoreske gewelfde souk van Sidon, waar arbeiders nog steeds hun beroep uitoefenen. Aan de rand van de souk is een traditioneel koffiehuis waar mannelijke klanten elkaar ontmoeten om de narguileh (waterpijp) te roken en Turkse koffie te drinken. Vissers verkopen hun nieuwste vangst op de markt in de buurt van de haven, niet ver van de ingang van de souk. Als u de markt van El-Shakiriyya betreedt, is er Debbaneh Palace, waar een overdekte smalle trap leidt naar de binnenplaats van dit oude gebouw uit 1721. Het gebouw heeft zijn Ottomaanse Arabische architectonische kenmerken behouden.
Vervolgens gaat de reiziger een museum binnen om de geschiedenis van zeepproductie in de regio, de ontwikkeling en productietechnieken ervan te volgen, we zullen een demonstratie zien van hoe traditionele olijfoliezepen worden gemaakt en leren over de geschiedenis van de "hamam" (bad ) tradities. Een historisch gedeelte van het museum introduceert artefacten die werden gevonden tijdens opgravingen ter plaatse en die overblijfselen van kleipijpkoppen uit de 17e tot 19e eeuw omvatten, evenals aardewerkfragmenten. Het museumgebouw is een oude zeepfabriek gebouwd in de 17e eeuw, hoewel het delen bevat die vermoedelijk dateren uit de 13e eeuw.
De Grote Moskee, voorheen de kerk van St. John van de Hospitalers. De vier muren van dit rechthoekige gebouw (recent gerestaureerd in hun natuurlijke schoonheid) dateren uit de 13e eeuw. Oorspronkelijk een fortachtig kruisvaarderscomplex met een eigen kapel, is het nog steeds een imposant bouwwerk, vooral gezien vanaf de kust.
De Khan El Franj is een van de vele Khans gebouwd door Fakhredine II voor handelaren en goederen. Dit is een typische Khan met een grote rechthoekige binnenplaats en een centrale fontein omringd door overdekte galerijen. Het centrum van economische activiteit voor de stad in de 19e eeuw, de Khan huisvestte ook het Franse consulaat.
Na khan al Franj gaan we naar het dorp Maghdoucheh, de reizigers bezoeken onze Lady of Awaiting, een Melkite Grieks-katholieke Marian-schrijn en een grot en die werd ontdekt in 1721, De reizigers lopen door het heiligdom dat bestaat van een toren bekroond met het standbeeld van de Maagd en het Kind, een kathedraal, een begraafplaats en een heilige grot waarvan men vermoedde dat deze was waar de Maagd Maria rustte terwijl ze op Jezus wachtte.
Daarna gaan we naar Tyre, dat werd gesticht rond 2750 voor Christus volgens Herodotus en de geboorteplaats van Europa en de oprichter van Carthago '' Dido '', de reizigers zullen de oude noordhaven, kleurrijke straten en het strand van twee kanten van de stad.
Daarna gaan we naar de Unesco Werelderfgoedlocatie in de stad Tyre daterend uit de II eeuw CE. Het wordt beschouwd als een van de grootste en best bewaarde Romeinse hippodromen in zijn soort in de Romeinse wereld, reizigers zullen er doorheen lopen, die is ongeveer 480 meter lang en een 90 meter brede hoefijzervormige structuur voor twintigduizend toeschouwers die samenkwamen om de dodelijke tartensport van wagenrennen te bekijken.
De Al-bass-site herbergt een Byzantijnse weg, een triomfboog uit de tweede eeuw, een Romeinse weg met een aquaduct en de overblijfselen van een enorme

I booked this tour with Lebanon Local Tour with Harake as a tour guide and it was absolutely incredible. We visited Sidon and Tyre and the experience was rich of history and hidden gems. We also got the chance to visit the Souk were we found amazing people selling their local products. The south of Lebanon is so rich in terms of history and cultural heritage; people were simply amazing - so kind, welcoming and generous. We had also the chance to visit Maghdouche - Our Lady of Mantara (Awaiting Church) - a place full of emotions and positive feelings. Our tour guide Harake was incredible. I don't have enough words to explain how kind, respectful, positive and gentle he was. He helped us out throughout the whole day and was always available for every request we had. He told us precious info about the history of Lebanon and everyday life experiences and explained us each site we visited. I cannot thank him enough about the day we spent together and I highly reccomend him as a guide because he was a true positive resource.

The sights were great but our supposed to be tour guide only acted only as a driver. He did not really provide any tour guiding in Tyre archeologigal sights and Sidon sea castle. He just drove us to the sights and we walked by ourselves in Tyre archeological sights and Sidon sea castle. Our contract was for an English speaking tour guide not an English speaking driver. He was also going to omit some sights which were in the program and he insisted they were not included. So i showed him what i copied from viator ad - Dubane Museum. Eventually he did but we had to retrace our steps as we passed it completely. He did not bring us to the Franj hotel and and Grand Al oman mosque. He just pointed it to us from the street. He walked with us to the souk, soap museum and the magdouche basilica but just walked with us. No commentaries or tour guiding given.

We booked very last minute a tour with Lebanon Local Tour and they were kind enough to assist us. We did a daily tour to Sidon and Tyre, with Ahmed as our driver. While he didn't speak too much English, he was an excellent driver, super friendly and a great company for our daily trip. There was lots of flexibility around the schedule, we could take all the time we needed to enjoy everything we saw at our own pace, while not missing any of the must see spots. He showed us around in the market of Sidon, helped us buy delicious food from street posts and nice souvenirs. This tour was great! It was just me and Ali my tour guide, he was on time, very professional and made sure I enjoy it to the fullest and at my own pace. Just a five - minute drive from the Hippodrome are the seaside Al Mina ruins. The bulk of the Roman ruins are a series pf columns on the seafront. You can pay 120,000 LBP to walk through this beautiful ancient site and take some amazing pictures. The site is open daily from 8;30 am until sunset.

Several historical and cultural places in one trip (souks, castles, ancient ruins, places of worship etc). Great views. Easy transfers between them. No problems.

The driver has been very friendly and very polite and eager to answer all my questions however the service I have received it's a transport service and not a guided tour there is no experienced leader as written in thr tour description I booked a small group tour and I was only myself it didn't worth the 90 euros I have paid the description of the tour is misleading
