Uw woestijnverhaal 's avonds begint met een vlotte ophaling van uw hotel of residentie in Dubai in een schone 4x4 met airconditioning. Kom tot rust en zie de skyline van de stad vervagen terwijl u richting Lahbab rijdt, de thuisbasis van de beroemde Rode Duinen van Dubai. Het landschap verandert langzaam van drukke straten naar open woestijnwegen, en het zand begint dieper en roder te gloeien naarmate je dichterbij komt. Tegen de tijd dat de duinen als gouden golven omhoog komen, voel je de spanning zich opbouwen, het avontuur staat op het punt te beginnen.
Als je aankomt in Lahbab, verwelkomen de Rode Duinen je met een uitzicht dat onwerkelijk aanvoelt, hoge golven van gloeiend rood zand die zich in de verte uitstrekken als de zon begint te dalen. Je haalt snel adem, stapt de woestijn in en het avontuur begint. Eerst komt de belangrijkste sensatie, 30 tot 40 minuten duin bashing over de Lahbab Red Dunes met uw vergunning safari kapitein. De rit stroomt op en neer door de duinen, soepel, spannend en vol woestijnenergie. Dan vertraagt het tempo bij een schilderachtige hoge duin, waardoor je tijd hebt om prachtige zonsondergangfoto's te maken met het rode zand om je heen. Vervolgens is het tijd voor puur plezier, sandboarden. Na een snelle tip van uw Gids glijdt u van de zachte duinhellingen, lacht u en gaat u weer. Met de gouden zonsondergang achter je en de Rode Duinen rondom, wordt het een van die Dubai momenten die je nooit meer vergeet.
Na het Red Dunes avontuur volg je de woestijnsporen naar het kamp, en de stemming verandert van adrenaline naar warme Arabische gastvrijheid. Zachte lichten, woestijnbries en het geluid van muziek heten u welkom als u naar binnen stapt. U begint met een traditioneel welkom, Arabische koffie en thee, zoete lekkernijen en dadels, plus onbeperkt frisdrank om u te verfrissen. Geniet dan van de klassieke kampmomenten, een korte kameelrit, foto's met de valk, henna voor dames en Arabische kledingfoto's. Guide Amin is just perfect, straight to business, but not overbearing and not strict. He tells the gist of everything and then goes into details. Everything was fast and fun, safe, but exciting. He gave some tips to the queues and other things, so that we know what to expect. 10/10 experience, would recommend, one of the best excursions I've been on!

Today we made a private Desert safari. Our driver and guide, Khalid was right on time to pick us up. He first took us to a location where we could take pictures with a falcon and took a ride on a camel. Then the dune bashing started. Khalid is an experienced driver and he gave us a lot of relevant information. We didn't expect to be alone out there in the desert, but it was incredibly busy. A lot of cars were cruising around there, but Khalid sent us nicely past everything and took nice pictures of us in the desert and on the camels. After the dune bashing the tires were inflated again and we went to the village. There we got a private table and the food was brought to us by a man. One bowl full of delicacies after another was put on the table. The food tasted very good above expectations. We don't know what it all was, but we filled our bellies well with all the delicacies. During dinner there were various shows by belly dancers and fire breathers. Was nice to see. We also had a quick drink on a shisha pipe and looked at the souvenir shops. Only downside was that there was no toilet paper at the ladies toilets, but the rest was well taken care of. At 8:45 pm the party was over and we drove away from the village in a motorcade. There are 45 of these villages in that area and everything ends at the same time making it traffic jamming out of the desert. Khalid then dropped us off at our hotel in one piece. We can highly recommend Red Dunes Desert Safaris and Khalid.

Today, we had planned a desert safari. Although we had been thinking about going out for a long time, today our friends suddenly made a plan to go out. After exploring different options, we found DFT Desert Fun Tourism LLC, and we decided to book with them. Honestly, it turned out to be an amazing experience. Especially our host, Mr Saleem, was extremely polite, kind, and professional. His behavior was outstanding, and he treated us with great respect and care. He made sure that we enjoyed every moment of the trip. Another great thing was that he was leading the entire convoy of around seven to eight vehicles, guiding everyone smoothly and professionally.
