Combineer Romeins en historisch erfgoed tijdens deze dagexcursie vanuit Avignon! Verken de voormalige stad van de paus: Avignon, met zijn pausenpaleis. Geniet na uw wandeltocht van een glas wijn van de Côtes du Rhône. In de middag bent u in het gebied van de Alpilles. De eerste stop is in Saint-Rémy de Provence voor een kleine wandeling in het stadscentrum, daarna bezoekt u het mooie dorpje Les Baux de Provence. Bewonder vóór de terugkeer in Avignon het aquaduct Pont du Gard, dat op de Werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO staat.

Ontmoet uw gids op 4 rue de la République, 84000 Avignon, om de wandeltocht om 9.00 uur te beginnen.
Wandeltocht door het historische centrum. Geniet aan het einde van de wandeling van een glas wijn.
Bezoek aan het Pausenpaleis. Lunch/snack op eigen gelegenheid in Avignon na de wandeltocht.
Ontmoet uw gids voor het VVV-kantoor van Avignon, 41 cours Jean Jaurès, om het middagdeel van de tour om 14 uur te beginnen.

Fantastic guides. When I booked a full day tour. Instead, it was two tour with a two hour break between. The afternoon was quite rushed. I’m glad I got to see the Pont du Gard. That was two tours I would’ve booked differently and shows something I really wanted, a tour including Nimes. Or kayaking. Under the Pont du Gard if I could find an easy way to get there. I think it would’ve been more impressive from the water and approaching the with a flow of the water. I’d still try to use the same company because both guides are truly wonderful.

Our tour guide was Florian (aka Flo). He was exceptional!! Great English speaker, knowledgeable, sense of humor and you could see that he really loved his job. Enjoyed our tour with him and would highly recommend.

This tour only listed the locations the trip would go and the time the allotted. So with that in mind - the tour met its goal. However, was it really a tour? I think not. The driver took us to all three sites, dropped us off in each spot, gave us map (well, not each of us - every third one so we had to stay in groups) and as if on a scavenger hunt - suggested we go to several spots he mentioned, gave us directions to meet him back at a carpark to move on to the next site. So, it was NOT a tour, but more just transportation to each site and about 30 min in each place. No commentary from guide unless you asked a question.

Tremendous amount of history rolled into one tour. Long day but worth it! Highly recommend for those who enjoy history.
