Deze privé auto tour is uitgebreid genoeg voor elke geschiedenis liefhebber, maar net zo interessant op andere manieren voor niet geschiedenis nerds. Het is een unieke combinatie van de Revolutionaire Oorlog sites in Boston en Cambridge die je niet zult hebben gezien. Daarna naar Lexington en Concord om de steden te zien waar het “schot de wereld rond hoorde” werd gelost. We nemen dezelfde route als Paul Revere, en stoppen onderweg bij de belangrijkste en minder bekende locaties, met een gedetailleerd verslag van de gebeurtenissen in april 1775. Voor degenen die minder geïnteresseerd zijn in de details van de veldslagen, is er de optie om het huis van Louisa May Alcott te bezoeken of gewoon wat tijd te nemen om te genieten van de mooie hoofdstraat van Concord. Het reisschema geeft de lijst van sites die we zullen bezoeken, maar de timings zijn flexibel om ons tijd te laten doorbrengen op de plaatsen die u het meest interesseren. We stoppen ook voor de lunch (niet inbegrepen in de prijs van de tour) en er zijn tal van fotomogelijkheden.
Rijd door de beruchte wijk "Southie".
Deze belangrijke plek ligt net buiten Boston en het verhaal over hoe de heuvel hielp een einde te maken aan de belegering van Boston is boeiend.
Rijd door deze historische wijk en passeer onderweg de USS Constitution.
De slag om Bunker Hill speelt zo'n belangrijke rol bij het opbouwen van steun voor onafhankelijkheid.
Wandeltocht door de openbare delen van Harvard Yard en de gebouwen waarin minieme mannen, milities en zelfs George Washington zelf waren gehuisvest.
Vanuit Cambridge maken we de reis van 10 mijl naar Lexington voor het eerste slagveld. De plek waar de eerste schoten van de Revolutionaire Oorlog werden afgevuurd. Je krijgt de kans om over de green te lopen, te horen hoe de strijd begon en wat er allemaal gebeurde.
Van buitenaf zullen we vertellen hoe de lokale militie wachtte op de komst van Britse troepen terwijl ze genoten van een "verfrissing".
Van de buitenkant geven we de geschiedenis van het huis en waarom Sam Adams en John Hancock hier hun toevlucht zochten om te voorkomen dat ze door Britse troepen werden gevangengenomen.
We volgen de route die de Britse troepen in de ochtend van 19 april 1775 hebben afgelegd en stoppen bij de veroveringsplaats van Paul Revere.
Stop bij dit voormalige hoofdkwartier en veldhospitaal van het Britse leger (1775) en hoor een beschrijving van de reis van Paul Revere naar de stad Lexington.
Als je een fan bent van de klassieke Little Women, dan passen we de tour aan zodat je de tijd hebt om het huis te bezoeken (toegangsprijs niet inbegrepen in de prijs van de tour). Anders komen we er langs.
Bekijk de graven van enkele van de beroemdste auteurs van het land.
Loop naar de plek waar het "schot dat de hele wereld is gehoord" werd afgevuurd en Britse troepen stuitten op onverwacht en onderschat verzet van MA Minutemen en milities.
Als we teruggaan naar Boston, stoppen we net buiten Concord om te genieten van de schoonheid van dit gebied.

Christian was phenomenal. Very engaging and knowledgeable about all aspects of the Revolutionary War and the places we visited.
This day trip is full of historical information and gives a tremendous amount of detailed information for history buffs of all ages.

Martin, our tour guide, was excellent in all respects. More than knowledgeable and a good communicator, he was congenial and kept things going at a good pace. In Boston the historical sites are limitless but Martin did a super job of showing us the most important and interesting. Our kids (ages 4, 7, and 11) enjoyed all of the Revolutionary War sites but particularly the literary sites in Concord.
Martin is an amazing guide. He is knowledgeable and his presentation was easy to follow and enjoyable to listen. We enjoyed his company and his stories. We learned a lot and the sites chosen were spot on. Very good tour with personal preferences along the way. Highly recommend this.
