De tour begint op het Piazza Dante. Van hieruit neemt uw lokale en deskundige gids u mee naar het beroemde Piazza Bellini. Dit plein staat bekend om het bruisende nachtleven. Hier krijgt u een introductie tot de geschiedenis van de stad en de ruïnes van de Griekse muren onder het genot van een tarallo!
Loop door een van de oudste straten van Napels. In de Romeinse tijd werd dit het "decumano" genoemd. Ontdek de geheimen en de delicatessen van deze prachtige stad! Hier neemt de lokale en deskundige gids u mee om de overheerlijke mozzarella van een traditionele winkel uit 1958, traditioneel gebakken pizza van een van de beste pizzeria's in de stad en het beste lokale street food te proeven. Nadat u heerlijke limoncello hebt geproefd, wandelt u verder via San Biagio dei Librai, ook wel bekend onder het Napolitaanse volk als Spaccanapoli-- wat letterlijk “breek Napels in twee stukken” betekend. Net als via dei tribunali was Spaccanapoli ook een hoofdstraat tijdens de oude Griekse en Romeinse tijd.
U loopt langs de muziekacademie die bekend staat als het Conservatorio, een van de eerste in Italië. Veel beroemde componisten zoals Bellini hebben hier gestudeerd. Voel u net als een lokale bewoner als u door de smalle en drukke straatjes loopt. Zie lokale winkels, eet lokaal ambachtelijke ijs en proef typisch lokaal gebak zoals Sfogliatella en Babà.
Na een aantal zoetigheden te hebben geproefd, eindigt de tour bij het Piazza del Gesù Nuovo. My family had an amazing experience at this street food tour in Naples. We tried eight foods and two drinks and loved every one of them. Our guide, Carmen, was wonderful and explained all about the food, the history of the area and the culture. It was her neighbourhood that she showed us around and she seemed to know everyone and all the best spots. We would never have tried some of the restaurants and shops she took us to, and we would have missed out. If my friends were visiting Naples, I would recommend that they put this tour at the top of their list. 5 stars!

I had no idea the bounty of this experience when I booked it! The itinerary on paper is great, but beyond that the actual stops and feasts that we had at each restaurant on the tour blew me out of the water. It was amazing to also be introduced to some of the historical influences over the gastronomy in this region of Italy and stop to enjoy cuisine at some of the beautiful landmarks. Everything about this was a perfect food tour, but what I loved more was our tour guide Carmen. She patiently allowed us to experience the city, the community, and indulged all my questions about traditional Italian cooking. She made sure the group was camraderous amongst each other and safe within the city the entire time. I will forever look fondly on my time in Naples because of this food tour.
