Het vredige, landelijke rijstveldlandschap bevat eenden en waterbuffels die in de rivieren langs de kant van de weg zwemmen. Je zult het moeilijk voor te stellen hoeveel verwoestingen, schade en ontbladering er in het hele gebied zijn aangericht, veroorzaakt door bombardementen en mijnen, toen Cu Chi "een vrije doelzone" was. Aan de overblijfselen zul je zien dat Cu Chi nog steeds haar bewijs heeft om het woeste slagveld dat daar plaatsvond te bewijzen. Heb je je ooit afgevraagd hoe het voelt om een AK-47 af te vuren? Bezoek Cu Chi-tunnels, je hebt een kans om erachter te komen!
Bij aankomst in My Tho City brengt de boot je naar een klein kanaal, waar je volledig kunt ontsnappen aan de drukke stad. De boottocht in het kokospalmenkanaal brengt je naar een kokosnooteiland in Ben Tre. We stappen uit en maken een wandeling door het dorp. Stop bij een lokale familie om te genieten van tropisch fruit, proef honingthee, honingwijn en luister naar Vietnamese traditionele muziek, optredens van de dorpelingen. Loop verder over de dorpsweg naar de kokossnoepwinkel, leer hoe je snoep kunt maken, laat wat handwerk zien gemaakt door kokospalm. Maak een wandeling door het dorp met twee kanten, er zijn zoveel soorten fruit, bloemen, bomen, lokale huizen, kinderen in de Mekongdelta, neem de tijd om mooie foto's te maken en te genieten van de natuur.

Absolutely great time! Kevin and Lob (driver) were informational, answered our questions, ensured we were safe on the crazy roads of Vietnam……. We learned double what we anticipated! Saw great local culture and sampled fantastic foods and drinks! Wonderful unique experience!
