Ontdek de schilderachtige hoogtepunten van Auckland terwijl u over de iconische Harbour Bridge reist op een ontspannen en privé wijnavontuur door West Auckland. Begin met een proeverij bij de internationaal geprezen Kumeu River Wines, geniet van een heerlijke lunch met een glas wijn bij Hunting Lodge en sluit af bij het historische Soljans Estate. West Auckland staat sinds het begin van de 20e eeuw centraal in het wijnverhaal van Nieuw-Zeeland. Gevormd door generaties Kroatische wijnmakende families, is deze regio rijk aan erfgoed, passie en vakmanschap. Veel wijngaarden zijn nog steeds in familiebezit, waarbij sommige trots hun vijfde generatie wijnmakers vieren. Gedurende de dag bezoekt u drie karakteristieke wijngaarden, geniet u van uitzonderlijke gastvrijheid en geniet u van heerlijk eten en wijn in enkele van de mooiste omgevingen van Auckland. Met genoeg te proeven en verhalen te delen, is dit de perfecte ontsnapping voor wijnliefhebbers op zoek naar een authentieke smaak van Auckland.

Kumeu River Wines is een wereldklasse gerenommeerde wijngaard die een aantal van de beste Chardonnays in Nieuw-Zeeland produceert. Kumeu River's rockster wijnmaker, Michael Brajkovich MW. U zult hier genieten van een kleine rondleiding en te zien krijgen waar deze ongelooflijke wijn wordt verwerkt en gebotteld, en inderdaad de prachtige wijngaard die de kelderdeur omringt.
Lokaal geteeld en seizoensgebonden gegeten: de Huntinglodge-filosofie is geïnspireerd op de veranderende seizoenen, waardoor de wijn- en eetervaring het hele jaar door kan evolueren. We streven naar een echte meadow-to-plate-aanpak door ter plekke te produceren wat we kunnen en lokale producten te gebruiken om ons aanbod aan te vullen. In een romantische ouderwetse NZ Classic Kiwi Villa van destijds. Een prachtige wijngaard, een van de eerste in NZ om De eerste verhandelbare hoeveelheid Sauvignon Blanc uit Nieuw-Zeeland werd geproduceerd in 1974, op de eerste wijnmakerijlocatie van Matua Valley in Swanson, Auckland (nu The Hunting Lodge).
Soljans Vineyard is de op twee na oudste wijngaard in Nieuw-Zeeland die in eigendom is en wordt beheerd. De wijngaard werd opgericht in 1937 en beschikt over prachtige landgoederen en heerlijke wijnen om te proeven.

David is such an amazing person, he made me feel so welcome to NZ and made the whole tour an exceptional experience. Got so lucky and met a wonderful couple from Spain which made the experience even better than expected. Lunch was delicious, best meal I had during my stay in Auckland. Highly recommend it the tour. oh almost forgot, plenty of good wine too lol

We had an incredible time on the Auckland Wine Tour, and David was the perfect guide! He was knowledgeable, friendly, and really made the experience memorable. David shared fascinating insights about the region and its wineries, making the day both fun and informative. We loved the Riverhead Forest and Auckland Bridge scenery, which added even more to the experience. The vineyards we visited were stunning, and the wines were exceptional.
