Laura was a great ambassador for Auckland! Excellent guide, small group and some stunning NZ produce at really cool places! Highly recommended!
thanks so much Steve!
Laura was very knowledgeable about the food scene, took us to excellent restaurants specializing in a wide range of food (Szechuan pork dumplings, oysters and mussels, Indian cuisine, NZ cheeses, and locally made gelato), and conducted a well-paced tour. She was fun to be with and knew a lot about the city and its history and architecture and was willing to answer any questions we had about NZ.
love this - thank you!
We had a wonderful time with JK. He was so knowledgeable in the history of NZ, which me and my family enjoyed. The food was absolutely delicious, and he gave great recommendations for restaurants to check out during the rest of our stay. We highly recommend this tour. Maybe do it the first day, that way you have a list on where to eat and sites to check out.
thank you so much and that is EXACTLY what we recommend! do it on the first day :)
Kath was a great guide. She mixed just the right amount of local history with the foods we sampled. The portions were just right. We really got a sense of the various cultures that have contributed to local cuisine.
Thanks so much Alicia.
We absolutely love embarking on food tours when we visit new places. It’s an excellent way to savor delicious cuisine and gain valuable recommendations. Our tour guide was incredibly informative, sharing fascinating insights into Auckland’s history. They also provided us with fantastic suggestions for restaurants and activities within the city.
Fabulous! Thank you so much
Sarah was excellent and we really enjoyed our food tastings and learning about all the diverse cuisines that Auckland has to offer.
Brilliant - I'm so delighted you enjoyed it
Cannot recommend this experience highly enough! Our tour guide, Sarah, was knowledgeable, kind, and fun. I especially enjoyed learning about the history and revitalization of the wharf area. The food itself was absolutely delicious, both adventurous and still maintaining quality and enjoyment. Each stop had its own flare and flavors, whether sweet or savory. I particularly enjoyed the tasting menu of seafood. There is a fair bit of walking, but easy access to rest stops at each location and restrooms as well. Highly recommend this tour!
How lovely thank you! We love it too
This was an INCREDIBLE experience! Our tour kind, Sarah, was knowledgeable, kind, and had great information both about the food and the city in general. The food itself was delicious, and we went to a variety of spots that all had their own flare and flavor. The food was adventurous while still maintaining quality and enjoyment, and we learned so much about Auckland's history. I especially enjoyed hearing about the revitalization of the area around the wharf and how it has changed over time. Our small group was very friendly and got along well, and it was a great time all around. Highly recommend!
Thanks Emily!
Don’t consider this a tour with meal. Had 5 stops with small appetizers and 2 small wine tastings. Guide was knowledgeable.
It's so funny how in one review someone is complaining we are feeding them too much, the next not enough. We'll get it right one day.
This experience is for those who enjoy fine food and learning about local history. There is some walking involved, but also lots of rest stops
Thank you so much!
