De Auckland Harbour Bridge, die als schildwacht over de Waitemata Harbour staat, is een cruciaal onderdeel van de infrastructuur. Harbour Bridge is de enige brug die de metropool van het centrale zakendistrict verbindt met de North Shore en verder met Northland.
North Head, ook bekend onder zijn Maungauika naam, is een historische vulkanische kegel gelegen in Devonport bij de ingang van Auckland Waitematā Harbour. Het werd ongeveer 50.000 jaar geleden gevormd en biedt een spectaculair panoramisch uitzicht op Auckland City, Rangitoto Island en de Hauraki Golf. In de late 19e eeuw werd het een belangrijk kustverdedigingsfort, en bezoekers kunnen vandaag de dag militaire tunnels, kanonnenemplacementen en verdwijnende kanonnen verkennen. North Head combineert natuurlijke schoonheid, Māori-erfgoed en fascinerende militaire geschiedenis in één onvergetelijke site.
Mount Eden is de hoogste vulkaan onder de 52 vulkanen van Auckland. Hij is 196 meter hoog. Vanaf de top kunt u genieten van een spectaculair uitzicht over de stad en haar havens.
De Winter Garden at Auckland Domain is een historisch kassencomplex met tropische en gematigde planten, een prachtige varen en elegante kassen. De Holy Trinity Cathedral is 's werelds enige architectonische voorbeeld van een Pacifisch-gotische kathedraal. Je kunt tegelijkertijd een gevoel van grootsheid en schoonheid ervaren. Ook kunt u de St. Mary Church zien, die bijna uitsluitend is gemaakt van het hart van Kauri, een inheems hout uit Nieuw-Zeeland, en een van de weinige houten kerken ter wereld is die in gotische stijl is gebouwd. Tijdens de middagtour gaan we naar Winter Garden in plaats van de Holy Trinity Cathedral vanwege sluitingstijd

Great communication from tour provider arriving at meeting point as promised. My partner is wheelchair bound but this presented no problem on this tour with our guide Israel eager to assist. This is a great half day tour and recommend to give you a chance to see around outside of the city.

We can highly recommend this tour with our guide Israel. It covered nearly total Auckland and gave us a good overview over the city. Israel gave us excellent information and brought us to many sites. of interest. Would be happy to do another tour with him when we have chance to come back to Auckland. By the way - he took amazing photos of us during the tour - we will have the best memories!

Tour guide had great communication via what’s app, and accommodating , pick us up at cruise pier We did stopped at all the major landmarks and were provided with history . Mount Eden Winter gardens North head ( Devonport) Marina Auckland harbour Bridge We were lucky to have great weather after arriving with rain . I was also interested in the gannet colony and nature. So Israel did agree to take us to Murawai , black sand beach after the tour, and stayed about an Hr. We did make it back to our ship with plenty of time to spare .

The worst tour guide. If you state you speak English it should be understandable English. We couldn't understand a word she was saying and she couldn't understand us. She used a prerecorded tape to explain where we were going next. We could at least understand that. Really didn't k ow where she was going. The worst tour of the trip.

We are immediately scheduling mandatory communication training and route re-education for our guiding staff to ensure this never happens again. We had a very pleasant 3.5+ tour with Jun on a beautiful Auckland day. He took us to historical and culturally significant sites. We enjoyed great views of the city and harbor and a short but lovely walk through the botanical gardens. He also took photos of us in several locations which was a bonus. My one minor complaint was not knowing in advance that the short walks we took involved a couple of steep areas. Due to a bad knee, I would have brought a trekking pole for support if I had known.

Isreal was and outstanding tour guide. We traveled all round Auckland and he pointed out points of interest along with a scenic overlook of Auckland. Very knowledgeable with facts and historical significance. Love using Viatoe. Have never had a bad tour with them.
