We bezoeken Athene als reizigers, niet als toeristen. Wij worden net zo enthousiast als jij om te reizen, om te genieten van geschiedenis/cultuur, landschap, fotografie. Als je alles wilt zien wat Athene te bieden heeft, dan raden we zowel moderne als klassieke locaties in Athene aan voor een dagtour. De dag begint met handig ophalen en brengt je vervolgens naar de Akropolis-heuvel, de Zeus-tempel, het Olympisch stadion, Plaka, de oude en moderne Agora, de Lycavetus-heuvel en nog veel meer. Het schema is flexibel, maar het belangrijkste is dat we over kleine wegen kunnen rijden en je Athene vanuit alle verschillende hoeken kunt zien. We zijn toegewijd om u het Athene te laten zien dat we kennen en waar we van houden, als reizigers en niet als toeristen en om deze reden zullen we de toeristische lokazen vermijden. Je hebt ook de flexibiliteit om elke attractie afzonderlijk te verkennen of een erkende archeoloog-gids toe te voegen (extra kosten).

Kalimarmaro-stadion (mooi marmeren stadion) waar in 1896 de eerste moderne Olympische spelen werden gehouden, nu ceremoniële evenementen en livemuziekconcerten. Stop voor fotografie. Er is een kaartje voor het geval je naar binnen wilt.
Bezoek de oude tempel op de plaats van een oud openluchtheiligdom gewijd aan de Olympische Zeus. Grootste tempel van Griekenland. Ticket kost 10€ nov1st / mrt31st) en 20€ (apr1st/okt31st)
Bezienswaardigheden in Athene beginnen met de Akropolis heuvel en omvat: Dionysus & Herodion theaters, de Tempel van de Athena Nike, de monumentale ingang (Propylaea), het Erechtheion en de beroemde Parthenon Tempel, die gewijd was aan de maagdelijke godin Athena. Acropolis Hill Ticket omvat alle bovenstaande sites. Kosten 15€ vanaf (1 nov/ 31 maart) en 30€ vanaf (1 april/30 oktober)
Ter ere van Athena & Poseidon, deze beroemde, oude Griekse tempel heeft een veranda met 6 kariatiden (vrouwelijke kolommen).
De tempel werd door de Atheners opgedragen aan Athena Parthenos, is de meest magnifieke creatie van de Atheense democratie op het hoogtepunt van haar macht. Het is ook het mooiste monument op de heuvel van de Akropolis.
Voer Plaka beneden de stad van Athene.
Beroemd monument met de oude tempel van Hephaestus, de ruïnes van een oude Griekse ontmoetingsplaats en een museum met kunstvoorwerpen. De oude Griekse Agora staat bekend als de geboorteplaats van democratie, filosofie en vrije meningsuiting. Toegangsprijs' Winter 4€/ Zomer 8€. Ticket is inclusief Agora Museum & Hephestus-tempel.
Stoa (Portico) van Attalos. Herbouwde oude structuur ooit een verzamelplaats & markt, nu een museum met Atheense artefacten.

Ga Monastiraki binnen. Volgende stop (optioneel) is bij een traditioneel Grieks restaurant met authentieke Griekse gerechten of een snelle stop voor een Pitta Gyros (Souvlaki) Monastiraki in Athene, ook wel bekend als de vlooienmarkt. We lopen door het maken van unieke foto's
Syntagmaplein : Het brede, met bomen omzoomde centrale plein van de stad, met een fontein, cafés en parkbanken. Oud paleis uit 1800 dient nu als Grieks parlement, met ceremoniële wachters en een gedenkteken voor ongeïdentificeerde soldaten. Nationale instelling voor wetenschappen, geesteswetenschappen en schone kunsten in een monumentaal neoklassiek gebouw uit de 19e eeuw, versierd met de beelden van Socrates, & Plato. De hoogste heuvel in het centrum van Athene, 280 m (1000 voet) met een panoramisch 360-graden uitzicht over de stad. Geweldige kans voor panoramische foto's van Akropolis, Stadion, Egeïsche Zee. Minibus het is moeilijk te benaderen.
Ultramodern glas- en staalmuseum met oude artefacten uit de archeologische vindplaats van de Akropolis. Bezoek (optioneel) of neem een drankje in de veranda met een prachtig uitzicht op het Parthenon. Veranda café restaurant zijn gratis ingang. Museumkaartje is 20€

Als u een archeoloog Gids nodig heeft om de sites met u te bezoeken, moet u er een extra huren. Uw chauffeur biedt informatieve audiodocumentaire en historische details terwijl u reist.

The team of Niko and Christos made our time in Athens a memorable one. From a seamless pickup at the airport to a perfectly timed tour of Athens highlights in order to catch the changing of the guard, they were exceptional. When we had trouble purchasing our Acropolis tickets prior to our arrival, the team helped troubleshoot and deliver. They made getting to our cruise easy and then a beautiful morning drive along the Athenian Riveria on our way back to the airport. It was hard to leave!

Incredible visit to Athens, we did a private tour with Nikos, treated us wonderfully. Christos was the very best of guides to help us enjoy our one day in Athens. He shared the views of the Acropolis from heights and perspectives that took our breath away.
