Onze tour helpt je om in één dag kennis te maken met de Griekse cultuur, de Griekse geschiedenis en de Griekse mentaliteit! Beginnend met de heuvel van de Akropolis, bewonder je de meest perfecte van alle tempels uit de oudheid, het resultaat van de democratie. Vervolgens volgt een rit door de moderne stad om de Tempel van de Koning der Goden, het Olympisch Stadion uit 1896 en natuurlijk de wisseling van de wacht en het Parlementsgebouw te zien. Daarna gaan we naar de oude Agora om dichter bij de best bewaarde tempel in Griekenland te komen, de tempel voor Hyphaistus! Tegen die tijd zul je honger hebben, dus we zullen stoppen om te genieten van een authentieke Griekse lunch in een van de wijken dicht bij het stadscentrum. Eenmaal klaar is onze laatste stop het Nieuwe Akropolismuseum, het beste museum in Griekenland met de marmeren beelden en sculpturen die ooit op het Parthenon stonden. Na het museum volgen we onze weg terug naar de haven en zetten we u af bij uw cruiseterminal.

Beklim de heuvel van de Akropolis om het beroemde Parthenon, de tempel voor de godin Athene, boven de stad te zien staan. Het Erechthion, gedeeltelijk gewijd aan Poseidon, de God van de Oceaan en natuurlijk de monumentale toegangspoort tot het fort van de Akropolis.
De volgende stop is de wisseling van de wacht bij het oude paleis boven het centrale plein van Athene. Wees getuige van de Evzones-eenheid van het Griekse leger die met discipline het graf van de onbekende soldaat bewaakt.
Stop om een foto te maken van het historische stadion waar in 1896 de eerste moderne Olympische Spelen werden gehouden!
Natuurlijk zal de tempel van de koning der goden, Zeus, niet ontbreken, aangezien deze de grootste tempel is die ooit in Griekenland is gebouwd. We rijden langs de imposimg-kolommen en als je wilt, kun je zelfs een korte stop maken voor een beter zicht.
We brengen je naar de hoogste heuvel van Athene, de Lycabrttus-heuvel, waar je kunt genieten van een onvergetelijk uitzicht.
Rijd langs de Academie van Athene, onderdeel van de eerste universiteit van Griekenland, die het mooiste neoklassieke gebouw van het land is.
Bezoek de oude Agora van Athene om de best bewaarde tempel uit de Gouden Eeuw van dichtbij te bewonderen. Je wandelt op dezelfde plek waar Socrates en Plato waren en bezoekt de kleine verborgen schat, het Agora Museum.
We bezoeken het nieuwe Akropolismuseum, waar u de sculpturen van het Parthenon van dichterbij kunt zien, de mooiste kunstwerken uit de Gouden Eeuw.

Excellent tour! Lazarus was an awesome driver. Constantine gave us well rounded historical as well as current information about the city.. they took us places we might have missed if taken other tours. Great experience!

We had a fantastic day with Eleni in Athens. Visiting the Acropolis and Parthenon with a private guide is absolutely the way to go. Our guide was very knowledgable. We have a 16 and 14 yrs old kids, so she asked us if the information shared was good or if we wanted less or more, We saw all the important areas and she had photos to show us what the places look back in the days, We also went to a local restaurant she suggested.
