Deze zorgvuldig samengestelde ervaring neemt je mee naar echte verborgen pareltjes, en biedt een echte smaak van Athene. We richten ons op lokale etablissementen waar gasten traditionele Griekse gerechten zullen proeven en genieten, bereid volgens lokale recepten en culinaire tradities. Onderweg leer je over de Griekse eetcultuur en het dagelijks leven terwijl je geniet van klassieke Griekse drankjes. Van heerlijke souvlaki tot zelfgemaakte specialiteiten zoals moussaka en dolmades, samen met proeverijen van olijfolie, honing, bougatsa en loukoumades, gecombineerd met lokale drankjes zoals wijn, bier of ouzo, deze tour prikkelt alle zintuigen. Tijdens de tour van 17:30 uur begint de ervaring met heerlijke dolmades – zachte wijnstokbladeren gevuld met geurige rijst en kruiden – geserveerd bij een van de beste verborgen pareltjes van de stad en gecombineerd met wijn of bier. Tijdens de tour van 12.00 uur begint de ervaring op de Centrale Markt, waar gasten genieten van een heerlijke traditionele Griekse tapa – zeevruchten, vlees of vegetarisch – gecombineerd met een klassiek Grieks drankje zoals ouzo of bier. Deze eerste proeverij zet de toon voor de ervaring en laat reizigers kennismaken met authentieke lokale smaken en culinaire tradities.
Bij de tweede halte kunt u genieten van een traditionele Griekse souvlaki, waarbij u kunt kiezen tussen kip of varkensvlees, vers bereid en geserveerd in een lokaal eetcafé. De proeverij gaat gepaard met een Grieks biertje, dat een echte smaak van het dagelijkse Atheense eten biedt.

It was wonderful to eat around Athens but tour did not have alcohol but on the first stop. Loves tasting the Greek olive oil and honey. The breakfast food we tasted truly was a staple and saw the next day at the airport.

Food tour guide was nice enough but not from Greece. We were expecting someone from Greece with knowledge on the food and food history who could provide fun facts about each thing we tried. Sadly we didn’t get any context of anything that we ate, which was disappointing. The guide just shepherded us from place to place. Could have done that on our own. The highlight was the honey tasting. The lady in that shop did give us some education along with her samples.
