Aswan Day Tour Een bezoek aan Philae Temple, Unfinished Obelisk en High Dam in Aswan

Bekijk de hoogtepunten van het pittoreske Aswan tijdens een uitgebreide tour met een deskundige Egyptoloog-gids. Als u per voertuig met airconditioning reist, begint u met uitzicht op de Aswan High Dam, het enorme bouwwerk uit de jaren zestig dat werd gebouwd om de jaarlijkse overstromingen van de Nijl tegen te gaan. Bewonder de dam en bekijk vervolgens de onvoltooide obelisk, een gigantische, half uitgesneden obelisk die door oude steenhouwers in zijn steengroeve is achtergelaten. Rijd later met een boot naar de Philae-tempel, bekend om zijn prachtige eilandlocatie. Bezoek de prachtige hoven, terrassen en kamers gewijd aan de godin Isis voordat je terugkeert naar Aswan.

Om 8:00 uur haalt de gids je op bij je hotel of Nijlcruise of zelfs bij het vliegveld in Aswan om te genieten van een dagtour in de geweldige stad Aswan Begin je tour met een bezoek aan de High Dam, een technisch wonder gebouwd in 1960 om Egypte te beschermen tegen jaarlijkse overstromingen vanuit de Nijl
Ga vervolgens naar de onvoltooide obelisk die de technieken toont die door de oude Egyptenaren werden gebruikt om obelisken te snijden. Hoogstwaarschijnlijk behoort deze obelisk toe aan koningin Hatsjepsoet, een van de heersers van de 18e dynastie en de koninklijke echtgenote van koning Toetmosis II. Deze koningin was de eigenaar van haar tempel op de oostelijke oever van Luxor. Er is ook een mening dat het toebehoort aan koningin Nefertiti.
Ga verder om de majestueuze Philae-tempel te bezoeken die werd gebouwd ter ere van godin Isis, de belangrijkste godheid van het eiland. Later wordt u teruggebracht naar uw hotel.

I thank our guide who simply accompanied us to all the sites as per the program, with patience, discretion, competence, clarity, and professionalism.
Magdy was our tour guide for the day and made it a perfect one. We loved Abu Simbel, it is a must to see. We have no hesitation in recommending him for anyone wishing a great day out
Great day with a knowledgeable guide. Comfy transport and loved the perfume/aromatherapy section. Temple is well worth a visit and dam is fascinating.
Nice mix of activities and information. Guide Magdi has lots of knowledge to share. Driver Makmut was very careful and attentive. Highly recommend this tour.
The pick up was delayed by 15 mins and where we just waited around. And the guide Hamza was not fluent in English and not very knowledgeable, so it was very difficult to understand the stories and they couldn't answer any questions accurately. They gave a 5 to 10 mins speech about the site and then left us to our own to explore which was not great.
A 3hr drive from Aswan, mainly on good and quiet roads through the desert Both temples are fantastic and worth taking your time
Overall a very good trip. We were lucky enough to have our own personal guide with driver (unfortunately can’t remember her name). I guess if others have booked the same tour it may not be a one-on-one trip. We visited the Aswan Dam and Philae Temple (via motor boat) and Unfinshed Obelisk. Great history and our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. Allowed us to ask lots of questions and not just about the trip, but can also ask general questions about Egypt and the local area. Only negative was that the trip included a stop off at a Spice store and a Perfume store where both felt like a hard sell and we felt a little pressured into purchases where the prices weren’t really cheap.

Sarah was a superb guide. Perfect Spanish and the best attitude. Philae is breathtaking. The Nile ride is fun!
