Klokkentoren is een klassieke bezienswaardigheid in Arusha en populair referentiepunt voor routebeschrijvingen. Deze toren werd gebouwd door Galanos en vertegenwoordigt een mix van geschiedenis, dagelijks stadsleven, staande als rustige wachtpost in het hart van Arusha.
Het tanzaniet ervaringsmuseum is de beste plek om te leren over de unieke en zeldzame tanzaniet edelsteen. Deze blauwe violette steen komt alleen voor in Tanzania. Daar leert u over de geschiedenis van tanzaniet, mijnbouw en transformatie van tanzaniet. Het museum heeft ook een cadeauwinkel waar u gecertificeerde tanzaniet steen en sieraden kunt kopen.
Dit is een bewijs van onze regio koloniale geschiedenis, werd geconstrueerd door de Duitsers om hun controle over het gebied te doen gelden. In de loop der decennia diende het als regionaal overheidskantoor voordat het werd omgebouwd tot Arusha natuurhistorisch museum.
Dit is een prominent monument in het centrum van de stad. Het werd gebouwd om de arusha-verklaring te herdenken, een politieke verklaring van de eerste president van Tanzania.

Maasai markt is de go to place voor souvenirs. Het is een grote openluchtmarkt gevuld met honderden kraampjes gerund door maasai en andere lokale ambachtslieden. Daar vind je een breed scala aan prachtige handgemaakte items, waaronder kleurrijke kralen kettingen, armbanden en oorbellen. U kunt handgesneden houten sculpturen, traditionele stoffen en lederwaren kopen. Het is een geweldige plek om te communiceren met de lokale bevolking en afdingen voor de beste prijs.

Had a wonderful tour around Arusha with Innocent. It started at the later time of 4pm so we didn’t have time to go inside the Natural History Museum but he brought me through the food market which I loved and I enjoyed a sugar cane juice afterwards!
