Deze tour neemt je mee naar alle hoogtepunten in het La Fortuna-gebied. Ga in één goed georganiseerde dag op een natuuravontuur van een hele dag. Onze beste, volledig uitgeruste tweetalige gids, neemt je mee in een comfortabel voertuig naar alle verschillende locaties. Eenmaal aan het wandelen vertelt hij over de omgeving en gebruikt hij zijn uitrusting om zoveel mogelijk dieren te spotten.

9 hoge en zeer lange bruggen verbonden door 2 mijl van paden die je door de weelderige jungle voeren en je dicht bij de dierenrijke boomhemel brengen met de machtige Arenal-vulkaan op de achtergrond.
Op dit deel van de tour kom je heel dicht bij de machtige Arenal-vulkaan. We beginnen onze wandeling naar een muur van lavarotsen die daar zijn achtergelaten door de mega-uitbarsting van 1968. Vanaf dit punt ga je de trappen en paden op die ons over brede lavavelden voeren. In de schaduw van de Arenal blijven we klimmen tot we een panoramisch uitzichtpunt bereiken. Naast de vulkaan zie je het Arenal-meer, de omliggende jungle en de noordelijke laaglanden. Als we naar beneden wandelen, passeren we meer tropisch bos, waardoor we meer dieren kunnen zien.
we nemen u mee op een hobbelige rit van 3 mijl richting het panoramische uitkijkpunt Peñas Blancas. Uitkijkend over een met jungel bedekte kloof zien we in de verte twee enorme watervallen, de Peñas blancas-waterval en, de bestemming van onze wandeling, .. de indrukwekkende catarata La Fortuna. Wandelend over een junglepad moeten we een hoge en smalle hangende brug passeren om verder te gaan. Beneden bij het zwembad van de herfst kun je zwemmen in het zoete water of gewoon ontspannen voor ongeveer 45 minuten. Nadat we weer omhoog zijn gelopen, stoppen we bij een dorp van de Maleku-indianen. Ze praten over hun geschiedenis en cultuur in hun Palenke. In dit prachtige ecologische park zullen we ook een zeer lekkere lunch hebben. Rond de lunchruimte zijn er vlinder- en kikkertuinen die je kunt bezoeken.

We had an amazing time on this tour! Andres was an incredible guide and really made the experience. We were a family of 10 with ages ranging from toddlers to grandparents and everyone enjoyed it. He spotted so much wildlife that we definitely would have missed on our own and took the time to explain what we were seeing while teaching us about Costa Rica, its wildlife and its history. Every stop was worth it and the day was full without ever feeling rushed or overwhelming. The lunch was also surprisingly delicious, which isn’t always the case on full day tours. I would absolutely recommend this tour and if you get Andres as your guide you’ll be in great hands!
Def skip the gym the day of the tour because you'll have a whole body work out 😁 The guides, Nano (Christian) and Marco were very knowledgeable, friendly, funny, but mostly patient. I encountered a couple of hiccups and they worked things out for us to still enjoy the trip. Def recommend this tour!!
Our guides Rasta and Andy were awesome — energetic, friendly, and did a great job throughout the day, so I definitely don’t want to take anything away from them - these two stars are just for them. That said, there were a few things that could definitely be improved. The tour starts with hotel pickups, and they picked up around 24 people in total. The entire pickup process took nearly 50–55 minutes. For example, I was picked up from the middle of downtown La Fortuna at 7 AM and still the pickups were not completed until almost 8 AM. Also, 24 people felt like too many for such a small minibus. At one point, the guides even had to open the jump seats for extra passengers, which is never a great look or the most comfortable setup. Another downside was the amount of time spent at some locations. We only got around 33 minutes at the La Fortuna Waterfall, which felt far too short for a place that spectacular. The group was also split into two groups of 12 during the day, and our group frequently had to wait around 20 minutes for the other group to catch up. Over the course of the trip, this probably added up to nearly an hour of waiting time. Also at lunch, the restaurant ran out of all options except beaf and had to serve us a makeshift chicken fillet when we refused to budge. The hot springs at the end are definitely very touristy and feel a bit more like an amusement park than a natural experience, but they are still a lot of fun. If the kinks are improved, this can be a good way to see many of La Fortuna’s highlights in a single day.

We had a BLAST!! Rasta and Andy were amazing tour guides. You can tell they are very passionate about animals and nature which made everything much more exciting. I learned so many interesting cool facts about animals and plants. The lunch provided was delicious! I love this tour because it hits all the places you want to see all in one day. Thank you for an amazing time in La Fortuna!
Do not tread lightly on the description of this tour! It was an incredible experience but if you are not up for the challenge of a FULL day of uphill walking, stair climbing (like 2000 stairs in total) and a full workout, sit this tour out or split it into different days. The various parts of the tour were incredible but if you are not physically fit, I wouldn’t recommend doing it all in one tour. Make sure you bring yourselves EXTRA water, and maybe snacks. Plan a massage for the next day if you do this tour! LOL Needless to say, our tour guide Steve was great! He was friendly, easygoing, personable and made the day fun! He made sure everyone was having a good time! We saw lots of amazing and unique wildlife, beautiful scenery and the hot springs were lovely!
Fantastic experience even though it rained the entire day. Diego made it extra special with his story-telling ability, zest for life and locating wildlife! It's 6 months later and my 10 year-old son is still raving about this experience.
This was a great, informative and fun full day tour. Easy way to get all the stops in on a tight timeline! Andre, the guide, was very knowledgeable, kind and had good humor! Highly recommend.
We had an amazing time! Rasta was an excellent guide and the whole group including our bus driver and Andres made the day so memorable and fun! Rasta has super vision I swear and was spotting animals that we never would have seen ourselves. We really couldn’t believe how much we got from this tour, definitely worth the price and I couldn’t recommend it more!!
