Met de klassieke en typische Ape Calessino (tuk tuk), een Italiaans legende die erg geliefd is bij gezinnen, vooral met kinderen in kinderwagens, doorkruisen we het historische centrum en de Sassi. Wandelen kan erg vermoeiend zijn, vooral in de zomer. We razen door de karakteristieke straatjes en steegjes, maken korte stops om foto's en video's te maken en om kerken op de pleinen en karakteristieke grotwoningen (museumhuizen) te bezoeken.

Punctuality, courtesy, and knowledge of the locations I recommend it as a first panoramic tour of the city to get oriented with the spaces and areas of greatest interest. You don't visit all the most important areas given the time available and the need to travel by road

Interesting tour through the Sassi di Matera with a visit to a typical house and stops to photograph the uniqueness of this city. The guide explained the history very well to us. I highly recommend it to those who wish to discover Matera in a short time and comfortably. The Ape calessino is in itself a unique experience.

Better indicate the address and mention where parking can be done. The ad says 1 hour, but the trip took 45 min. Guide was very kind.
We had a great time on the Ape Calessino Tour of the Sassi di Matera. It was such a fun and unique experience riding through the narrow streets. The tour is well-paced and covers the main highlights of the Sassi, with interesting information along the way. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable, making the whole experience both enjoyable and informative. For all we were in Matera for 3 nights, this tour would be ideal if you’re only there for a short period of time, as it gives you a great overview without feeling rushed. Maybe not the best value for money for a 45 minute experience however, still highly recommended.
