Zon, zeilen en snorkelen - de perfecte manier om een middag op Aruba door te brengen. Tijdens deze 3-uur durende rondvaart, vaar je over de Caribische wateren aan boord van een catamaran en trap je je vinnen om twee rijke snorkellocaties te verkennen. Zwem eerst in de buurt van maanvissen en andere kleurrijke zeedieren in de kalme Catalina-baai. Ga dan naar Antilla Shipwreck, een van de beroemdste snorkelplekken van het eiland, waar maanvissen, yellowtail snapper, pijlstaartroggen en murenen rond de overblijfselen van het WWII-vrachtschip wervelen. Bonus: een open bar, snacks zijn inbegrepen.

Snorkelen is een van de beste en gemakkelijkste manieren om het onderwaterleven op Aruba te ontdekken. Ga aan boord van een van de luxe catamarans van Red Sail Aruba en breng je naar twee van de beste snorkelplekken van Aruba; het Antilla-scheepswrak en Boca Catalina. Bijtanken en opfrissen met hapklare hapjes en een goed gevulde open bar.
Gelegen aan de noordwestelijke punt van Aruba, biedt de kleine en afgelegen Catalina Bay kalm, transparant water, de ideale plek om op te frissen of snorkelvaardigheden te leren. Na een veiligheidsbriefing trekt u de meegeleverde snorkeluitrusting aan en springt u erin! Doop je masker onder water en bewonder een wonderland van tropische vissen. In de ondiepe wateren tot een diepte van ca. Op een diepte van 5 meter kun je koninginnenvissen, scholen blauwe papegaaivissen en damselfish zien zwemmen rond nabijgelegen koraal- en zeewaaiers.
Het scheepswrak biedt nu een bloeiende thuisbasis voor een breed scala aan zeeleven. Zet je snorkelmasker op, trap met je vinnen en verken de wateren met een zicht van gemiddeld 9 tot 15 meter. Het wrak begint op ongeveer 3 meter onder zeeniveau. Bekijk de stuurboordzijde van het schip, geheel bedekt met dik koraal. Beweeg over het voorschip en zie hoe geelstaartsnappers, vlindervissen, zuidelijke pijlstaartroggen en groene murenen over het bovendek glijden. Bewonder sterren, witgepunt vuur en hersenkoralen en vang een glimp op van barracuda's, blauwkoplipvissen en scholen witte grunts. Na een ontspannen snorkelen bij het scheepswrak kunt u ontspannen aan boord van de catamaran en genieten van nog meer aanbiedingen van de open bar terwijl we terugvaren naar Palm Beach.

My family booked the 3-hour Antilla Shipwreck and Catalina Bay Snorkel Sail, we reserved through Viator and it was a fun experience. We boarded at Piet’s Pier in the Hyatt hotel, there were 2 snorkeling stops. The 3 crew members - Lizzie, Leo, and Captain Richard - were attentive and courteous. There were unlimited drinks and 3 rounds of light appetizers, overall a great time and highly recommend.

There are SO many different catamaran tours available in Aruba, I couldn’t be happier that we chose Red Sail. Captain D, Lizzy, and crew were all amazing. The crew worked really well together and that made all the difference. They knew so much about the island and we really enjoyed learning about everything. We got to see turtles come up, a shipwreck, coral, eels, sea urchins, and so many fish. They knew where everything was at. The shipwreck was amazing. You do need to be a confident swimmer to do the shipwreck - the currents are no joke. They had their crew in the water for safety. I can’t say enough good things about the crew. They made it such a great experience. The boat was very nice and a perfect size, it didn’t feel overcrowded. There’s a slide/waterslide on the back of the boat and that was added fun too. The lunch provided was also SO GOOD! This was our first time in Aruba, and we will definitely do this again.

The meeting point was easy to find. They provide everything necessary for snorkeling and there is an open bar on board (my children took advantage of the non-alcoholic drinks, aside from some snacks that were also available and were very delicious). At the first spot (Catalina) you see few fish and it is suitable for all ages. The second spot (Antilla, the shipwreck) is the bomb: it was impressive to be able to see a sunken ship of that magnitude without needing to scuba dive (the history of the ship is also super interesting), aside from finding a greater number of fish species in this place. There is more current here, but my 10-year-old son was able to do it without major problems (I do not recommend it for anyone younger). It goes without saying that you always have to bring sunscreen, sunglasses, etc., as in all of Aruba. The staff on board is very helpful and friendly, which is important when traveling with minors. Everyone speaks English, Spanish, and Dutch perfectly. I recommend it.
