Captain uw eigen 11 voet 2 zits opblaasbare motorboot Reef Rider als u en uw vriend verkennen de prachtige westkust van Antigua uit naar de prachtige Cades Reef. Zet je snorkel, masker en vinnen op (meegeleverd) en duik in het kristalheldere water van de Caribische Zee. Onze boten zijn klein genoeg om aan te meren in de lagune van het rif om u dichter bij het geweldige zeeleven te brengen, waaronder pijlstaartroggen, kreeft, papegaaivissen, chirurg-vissen en moeras, evenals het prachtige koraalrif. Afhankelijk van de tijd van de dag kunt u zelfs een schildpad zien zwemmen in de lagune!

The conditions were not the best for our adventure (windy (rough, choppy seas) but the Reed Riders part they could control was great. Service was excellent from start to finish, and our guide was very fun and knowledgeable. The scenery was beautiful, snorkeling on Cades Reef was ok but not great, everything was stirred up and most of the fish were hiding due to the low visibility. All in all, a good time and a great company to work with, next time maybe Mother Nature will cooperate a little better.
This tour was a blast...the "boats" are simply designed for fun and are also super enjoyable for two people. Everything seemed very well organized! We would have loved to go longer :)...the reef for snorkeling also offers an interesting variety of marine life. Very important: Sunscreen, sunscreen, and more sunscreen :) Our guide was also great :) And a huge thank you to the owner of Reef Riders... I left my phone in the office and only realized it later at the hotel. After a brief phone call with the crew, I was told that they had already tried to contact me... anyway, they offered to bring my phone in the evening, in case I didn't need it before then. In the evening, the owner came personally and made me very happy... first the cool trip and then my phone back ;) He firmly declined a thank you in the form of a tip. What wonderful and honest people - love goes out to the crew and the owner of Reef Riders ;)
Absolutely brilliant days experience driving own boat to Cades Reef & snorkelling experience. Our guide Scooby was brilliant, pleasant, funny & engaging & very knowledgeable. I cannot recommend this trip enough.
The tour was reslly disappointing, We saw some youtube videos beforehand and realized, that the corals at Cades might be dead. We asked about it at the counter of Reef Riders office in advance, but they said the corals are not dead and that the experience at Cades will be amazing. Well, the corals truly were dead, white and grey, and there were basicly no fish. Very very disappointing, and totally dishonest from the tour operators to lie to us about the state of the corals.
Hi. We’re sorry that you didn’t seem to enjoy the amazing marine life that we experience every day at Cades Reef. Many, many other reviewers have commented on how good the snorkelling experience is. To accuse us, and by extension, all the other reviewers of dishonesty is simply not correct. Whilst we can’t turn back the clock on the global problems affecting our fragile coral reefs, we can still responsibly enjoy seeing hundreds of fish, a mixture of hard and soft corals and the occasional friendly shark, turtle or ray. Importantly, we do so, with small guided groups and an emphasis on caring for our marine ecosystem.
The excursion itself was great! We did, however, have an issue with the provided transportation and the way our delayed arrival was handled. Our driver went to the wrong resort and was 30 minutes late getting to us. No problem, we understand mistakes. But he was hell bent on making I p the time on our way there. He was trying shortcuts, passing anything possible and basically maus do car sick we weren't sure we could do the boats. Alot of his anxious concern was from the excursion office calling him every 5 minutes asking when he would arrive, making him drive even crazier. When we finally arrived we received several comments of "glad you finally arrived" Once we settled in, got our equipment and moved to our boats everything became much more like the expwe hoped for. Scooby was great leading us and explaining what we were to do. Overall, a great experience but make sure your transportation they supply knows exactly where to pick you up
Hi We’re glad that you enjoyed the Reef Riders excursion. We offer hotel pick up and drop off to make the booking process easy for our guests. We’re sorry that there was a misunderstanding with our driver. He received the correct instructions but apparently misread them and ended up at a remote hotel 30 minutes away! He was sat there waiting for you at the allotted time. Disappointing, but we’re all human and sometimes mistakes occur. At that point we have 3 options. The easiest one for me is to simply cancel and refund or reschedule, thus messing up your planned days activities. The second option is to call in another driver closer to your resort. Unfortunately as your own resort was also pretty remote this would have taken too long. The third option was to re-route the driver to the correct resort. He thought he could do this in 20 minutes. Realisticly, this was never possible due to the distance and the awful condition of the road leading up to your hotel. You simply cannot go quickly. We have reviewed our procedures to take the current road conditions into greater consideration. In any event we expect any of our drivers to always drive responsibly and have spoken to this particular driver to ensure that they do not try to make up lost time en-route. All of our groups are small and the other participants are generally very understanding if one party arrives late due to transportation issues, usually as a result of NOT pre-booking their transportation with us, so there’s never any need to rush things.
What a great time! Our family of four (my husband, 11 yr old daughter, 14 yr old son, and I) booked this excursion last minute and we were so glad we did it. The reef rider boats are very safe, easy to operate and super fun to drive. The ride out to our destination allowed us to view the beautiful coastline on the side of the island we hadn’t had an opportunity to see and it was breathtaking! The crystal clear water offered a great experience to snorkel. I also have to give a shout out to our guide, Scooby. He was fantastic with our group and especially my kids. We have done snorkeling excursions before and I loved that the company limits the group size to 10 people. This gives you a more individualized attention and I really appreciated that!

Very organised and friendly staff. Great fun speeding around the bays to Cades Reef area for some snorkelling. On this occasion not much undersea wildlife to see where we went, but still fun, the best part is the journey there. Book it..
The boats were very exciting and “sporty”. The snorkeling was amazing and the staff is first rate. I highly recommend if you are up for adventure.
It can get a little rough but the boats are very stable and Scubi was a great guide! It’s breezy so make sure your hat is secure. The equipment provided was top notch. The reef is a popular spot so expect company when you stop to snorkel. Great way to see some coastline and spend a few hours for sure.
